I Landed in Your Heart

Part II. THE ENCOUNTER

   I should be going by now , i don't wanna be late for work again. That evil boss, Ms. Ilva won't stop until i get i fired.

   "Rhein, where are you? You're gonna be late for work young lady."

   Oh, and here's my beloved grandma. The only family i've known. I don't know what happened to my parents, i don't know who they are. I don't even know if i have siblings. Granda never tells me, so i didn't bother to ask. All i know is that i won't leave my grandma because i love her so much.

    "Grandma i'm coming. I'm almost done."

   "Your hair's still wet Rhein, you can get cold. Come and i'll dry it for you."

   "It's ok grandma, i'll go now. Don't forget to eat your lunch ok? I'll be home by six." I kissed her forehead. I liked doing it to grandma before i go somewhere.

  Our house is a bit far from the bus station. I'd have to walk at least a hundred meters before i can get there. Grandma said that late grandpa decided we live here because he liked to plant. Grandpa had a small farm. After he died, grandma continued to take care of the farm so we never moved since then.

   I was walking really fast when...

  Wh- what's that thing? I moved closer. Gracious God! Is he dead?! He must have had an accident and landed here. I should help this person.

  Half of his body was covered with leaves. I removed the leaves and....

   Oh ! His face... His face... He's so handsome... I thought i'd only see handsome faces on TV and billboards.

    I was staring at his face the whole two minutes before i realized that i should help him. Silly me ! I ran back to our house and called grandma.

   "Grandma ! Grandma ! There's a man out there. He needs our help. He must have had an accident. He's unconcious grandma."

    "Calm down young lady, come and let me see him." Half walking and half running, we reached the man but still he's unconcious.

    "Ok Rhein, he doesn't look dangerous at all."

    "Grandma! We should help him."

     "I was just making sure he's not dangerous. It's for your own safety too. Now unbuckle the straps attached to him. I think we can manage to bring him inside the house."
