We arrive at school late. Again.

Joe
- Alright Kevin will pick you up if he is home.

H and J

We wave goodbye and walk to class Jesse's class is just above mine so we can walk together.

Jesse
- what are thinking about doing about Enzy's birthday.

Halle
- I don't know can you think of anything?

Jesse
- We could buy us a Disneyland pass.

Halle

We stop walking. I just look at him.

Jesse
- Don't look at me like I just ran over your cat.

Halle - I don't know,Jesse, passes are really expensive.

Jesse
- well think about it. She wanted to go since dad went a few years ago for a concert. I have to go, I will meet you in front of school. Have a good day

Halle
- you too

I walk in class and everybody looks at me.

Halle
- hi,I'm just going to take my seat.

Mrs. Rumply
- Ms. Jonas if you are late one more time I will have to call your father.

Halle
- I know, I know, I've been really trying hard to make it here on time.

Mrs.Rumply
- so what's the crazy story for today.

Halle
- umm..my..little sister.....um...licked her hands,and had raw eggs on..them.

Mrs. Rumply just looked at me with her mouth open now I know how Jesse feels like when I do that. Then I look around and everybody looked like I just killed a baby.

Halle
- Well I already missed spelling so lets get cracking.

Mrs.Rumply
- Halle Jonas I am calling your father and um class you have a break till I get back.

Class
- YEAH

Mrs. Rumply
Miss Halle pack your bag with books and come to the office with me.

Halle
- WHAT I did nothing wrong.

Mrs.Rumply

We walk to the office and I have a seat.

I can hear them talking.

" do you have Nick Jonas' phone number."

I'm suspending his daughter and going to there house.

Halle
- What you can't do that I didn't do anything wrong.

Mrs.R
You lie everyday and over exaggerate on your stories.

Halle
- No I don't my family is just crazy.

Mrs.R
- I have met your father and your uncles. They seem sane. Now hush I need to call your father.

Halle
- He is not going to pick up. He's at work and he his preparing to be on The Voice.

Mrs.R
Shhhh.

I can her his answer machine I memorized it by heart,"Hi, Nick Jonas here you heard right this is Nick Jonas, I will try to call you back as soon as possible.Happy calling" I know the last part is tacky, but he likes it.

"Darn he didn't pick up."
"Do you want me to send a substitute to your class."
"Sure I'm going to drive to her house to drop her off. I don't trust her to walk home."

Halle
- I can hear you.

Mrs.R
- Ok, come on let's go. Is one of your uncles home.

Halle
- I don't know I guess we will find out .

We get in the car. My house is only 5 minutes away.I see my house. Only one thought is going through my head. Am I going to make it out alive after I tell my uncles and my dad that I've been suspended for 2 weeks?
