It was the next day that I visited Duncan again. We met in the usual spot and talked and talked about life. The day after that I returned again.
We went on like this for three months before the special day. I was visiting Duncan like usual. It was a habit of mine.
When I walked into the interrogation room, Duncan was already waiting there for me. I smiled and sat down in the chair across from him.
We started talking about how we had been doing lately. Then, out of nowhere, I leaned forwards and kissed him. I had forgotten what that felt like. It was like the grey, couldn't skies had opened up, revealing the stars that had been hidden for centuries. It felt like marveling at the wonder and beauty of the glowing specks in the sky. It felt like peace. Like starting over again. Like being reborn into a world where violence does not exist, and has never existed.
We pulled away and stared at each other for a while. Then Duncan leaned forwards and kissed me back.
We stayed there for a while before I spoke. "I love you Duncan" "I love you too" he responded.
We kissed again and again and again, over and over again. Our love for each other was eternal, and nothing would and could end it. Or so we thought.
Hi readers! I know this chapter was really (and I mean really) short, but I couldn't really make it longer! Sorry about that! Next chapter will be longer because it helps move the story along more. Thanks! Also I do not know the next time I will be posting a chapter. It will happen though. Just probably not too soon. I'd say within the next two weeks. Thanks for being patient with me!
