"Kid it's her!" I pace back and forth watching the kid who I have been looking after all his life about to be taken. "I need to do something." I look around "How can I? I'm fucking dead!" I hear someone chuckle behind me "No your not how many times do I need to say this to you Dan." I turn around "Mom the mansion blew up remember?" she shakes her head "The Mansion Saved you. Daniel your asleep. You just need to wake up." I walk to her "Mom believe me if the mansion saved me why didn't it save Dad." she smiles and places her hand on my cheek "Because The Mansion didn't believe your Dad needed to be saved. He tried to kill us due to him becoming-Well insane. You saved the Girl. You got her out and accepted your fate. The Mansion thought of you as a hero."
"But what about Rose. Why is she alive right now." Mom sighs "She believed in something totally different, Sure she had the Shine but she did something totally different that her son caught on. Her son overpowered the Mansion and brought her back." I look down "So who's more powerful?" she smiles "William is."
I sit up I blink rubbing my eyes "What the Fuck?" the smell of burnt wood fills my nose I cough and slowly get up, I look down holding an Axe, I throw it "Nope." a loud noise enters my head I bend over pain swelling like a migraine I yell out totally taken off guard. "He's Close Daniel take the bike outside. Quickly you must hurry!" I get up and run outside jumping onto the bike "How long has this been out here?" I jump start it and ride off, Closing my eyes "Show me the Kid." instantly I hear whispering "Now if you just calm down." I grit my teeth I open my eyes I look around and see a grey light, His shine, invisible to the Naked Eye but others with the Shine can notice it from miles away hence why I can see it. I yank the accelerator back and wheelie down the road to catch up speed. "Come on Dan hurry up." I skid to the side of the road arriving near the bus and take out my pistol, I fire at the HeadMaster and Rose disappears dropping Billy. I run over to him and scoop him up. "Wait let go of him! Who are you!?" I sigh and gently toss up Billy to rearrange him "I'm just a friend come on." He walks up behind me Billy sleeps in my arms I keep his neck up so it doesn't swing around. "So your just a friend right? Your not kidnapping my best friend right?" I turn my head and raise my eyebrow "You have no idea how long I have been with this kid. I think I'm more of a best friend than you are." I sit on my bike and sit Billy down having his body lean on mine. "Wait what about me?!" I sigh "Listen I don't know Kid just stay with these kids for now. Your Headmaster should be fine." He walks over to Billy and places his cross in his hands "Promise me you won't forget me, I'm at the-" I nod "Foster Home I know." he leaves he walks over and jumps on the back of the bus and I watch him close the door. And I speed off, The wind hits my face, I grit my teeth and feel a pain in my head "Go Back to the Mansion." I argue "I can't he will be affected just like me." Another pain enters "No he will be fine. Trust me son." I sigh and drift into a circle speeding back to the mansion.
