Third person's POV
Sun has risen up to its peak. Ruins and dust were all over the school.
Yes, the war of Hogwarts has finally came to end. Harry Potter has done it.Flames were dimly casting down, wizards destroyed, some by heart and some by dirt. Families were separated just to defeat an old stubborn sorcerer who wanted his rule only to get expired by a mere young man.
Harry slowly walked towards the Great Hall. Slumping his shoulders like he has nothing to worry about. Everything was good and bad at the same time but he was tired of sorting it out.
On his way, he saw many dead bodies and injured students and staff. Harry's heart clenched. But a voice in his heart stated that if hadn't fight against Voldemort then this would be ten times more worst.
Another thought filled his mind. If he hadn't been born or died along with his parents, maybe all these innocence lives would be safe.
He let a tear rolled down to his cheek. Finally, he admitted and came to decision of him being the main problem. It was his fault that many died.
Starting from his parents, Sirius, Remus, Dumbledore and Tonks. He worried he has also stole away a new meaning of life from a new born baby, his own godson, Teddy.
He even didn't know his parents. He didn't know they let their lives slip just to protect his godfather.
Harry didn't want to let Teddy's life be the one like his. Harry never got to experience any love. When Sirius came to his life, he saw a hopeful sunrise of his new life only to be disappeared by a evil sunset.
Then death of Fred caused him more pain. He didn't even deserve that fate. He has his whole life and family full of love along with him, not to fogot his twin brother.
Fred was hoping to continue the joke shop with George but everything came as a disaster.
By now, Harry's chest was tightening with guilt. Initially, he didn't let his mind wander into so much depth but now when he did, he recognized how much of cost he has brought along to everyone. He wanted to cry rather have a sleep to numb away all the pain for a day or two.
He wanted to escape the reality. His breathing became shallow.
"Harry." It was like a life rescuing angelic voice.
He looked up and saw the only girl he ever loved, standing in front of him. Her red hair was bushy, dried blood tainted on her wounds. She looked exhausted but her eyes were teared up seeing his condition.
"Hey, Ginny." He said this looking through her brown glittering eyes.
"Are you alright?" Of course not, he wanted to plead. Wished to ask her to just whisk away his pain.
Harry frowned as he saw Ginny with extra concerning look. Following her gaze back to his body, he then realized he was kneeling down on the floor. All the painful thoughts might have caused this.
He gazed around to see everyone watching him weirdly. Not caring an ounce, he looked up at the girl again.
"Ginny, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do this much damage. I was trying to protect you all." Harry let his mouth do the rambling. He didn't even know what to say. His mind was so diverted by the fact she was looking at him with a different way. “I would something else if I knew what would going to happen. Everyone lost so much. No one deserves this — ”
"Want a hug?" Ginny asked, bending down to his level.
"You won't love me after you will get go know the damages, Ginny.” But just after that, he was being crushed by a hug. Her arms slipped around his neck while he snaked his around her tiny waist.
"I missed this. I miss hugging you, Harry. I was afraid when you have to go abruptly from the wedding. I didn't even get to say a proper goodbye. And when you came back suddenly through that hole with Neville, it was like a new life been added to my body." Her words felt like rose petals. Soft and filtered without thorns.
When they broke the embrace, Harry was stunned by Ginny's words whilst she added. "I never stop loving you, Harry. Even if you did."
"When I was in that forest with Ron and Hermione, seeing them caring for each other made me think what it would be like if you were there with me. I was on the verge of giving everything up but you kept me sane. I always love you and stopping that feeling would be bad for my health, you know."
What came up next, Ginny and Harry chuckled together. Harry never did the cheeky lines and jokes, so it was mutual for both of them to laugh.
"Just never dare to run away from me to protect me. I will go insane."
"Just a mere thought of it creeps me out." He smiles.
After a while, they made their way to the Great Hall as they walked together, finger laced together.
Reaching there, they instantly saw specific redheads grouped together.
"Fred..." muttered Ginny softly under her breath. Harry heard her already and all the bad feelings started crawling back to his senses again. He let go of her hand suddenly, earning another concerned look from Ginny.
"Ginny, can I have some more time alone...just to clear everything for once?" He looked everywhere but at her. He was ashamed that he has to be so vulnerable.
"Come back soon, okay? We will be going back home in few moments." Ginny smiled at him and gave him a light peck on his cheek.
She wanted to take things slow with him. With all of the traumatic things happened to him in past twenty four hours, he deserved that.
"I will be right back, hm," Smiling weakly at her, he let go of her hand.
Ginny hummed before seeing him walk again outside.
Then she made her way to her family. She nuzzled to her mother who has been crying for her son. She has lost a child and no other pain is bigger than this.
Ginny knew she couldn't do anything now but to comfort her mother. She waited there, keeping her arms around her mother to support her. She was also glancing over the door so that she could see any sight of Harry, even it was only few seconds ago he went out.
One hour later
Ginny was really worried now. He promised to her that he would come here shortly but he was gone for one hour now.
The mental situation he was in, of what he had experienced in a span of twenty four hours was devastated. Ginny needed to know his whereabouts.
"Hermione, I'm going to find Harry." Ginny informed Hermione, biting her lower lip nervously.
Hermione nodded gently to her as she understood her concerns towards Harry.
Ginny walked out of the great hall and began searching for him. She knew Harry had told her to give some time of his own but she was worried as well for him.
Then something clicked her mind.
The Lake probably? That was the place where they used to sit and enjoy their time when they were together at the first place and before everything went down.
She ran towards the lake. She started walking along the lakeside, searching for him. Searching for a boy with raven hair.
Her glances fell over a tree where she saw someone standing there. The two figures she saw, were way to hazy for her sight.
Taking brisk steps, she walked near them.
All the emotions she held seconds ago faded. Harry was there but not alone.
