"TELL ME WHY—"
"AIN'T NOTHING BUT A HEARTACHE"
"TELL ME WHY—"
"AIN'T NOTHING BUT A MISTAKE"
"TELL ME WHY—"
"I NEVER WANNA HEAR YOU SAY"

"HIT IT IVY"

"I WANT IT THAT WAY", I all but screeched out before the sound of my friends laughter filled the car. We were currently on our way to a beach house in Malibu which we'd been saving up for all year. With our parents help we had managed to have it rented for 6 weeks (majority of our summer before we start our senior year).

"Alright next song, any requests?", Gabby questioned. She had called shot gun so, needless to say, she was in charge of the music.

"Anything but Justin Bieber please", Dylan spoke from behind. I could practically feel his girlfriend Lexi rolling her eyes at him.

"Says the guy who used to listen to one direction", Lexi retorted. I glanced up at the rear view mirror to find him glaring at her.

"Hey, I had a good reason okay, my 14 year old self related to them", he defended. Gabby and I shared a look of amusement but decided to stay quiet.

"Did you have a good reason for owning a Harry Styles t shirt as well?", Jacob chimed in, his voice dripping in sarcasm which caused us all to burst out laughing, leaving a scowling Dylan.

Before the boys could start an argument, I quickly changed the subject.

"Is anyone else exhausted? The first thing I'm going to do once we get there is take a nap", I announced.

"I'm not tired, I napped for a good half an hour", Jacob replied smugly.

"And that is why you're going to be the one driving us on the way back", I retorted with a smile.

The rest of the car ride flew by pretty quickly. It mainly consisted of Gabbys' atrocious singing (I love the girl but she is seriously tone deaf), Dylan and Lexis' constant bantering and Jacobs random inappropriate outbursts. Pulling up to the house, we all stopped to admire the view.

The exterior was a white modern complex with a decent sized balcony and a palm tree just outside of the entrance. Beside the huge driveway was a field of grass giving it a homely vibe.

"Damn, starving ourselves all these months definitely paid off", Jacob joked. His exaggeration made us roll our eyes but there was some truth to his words. There were countless nights where we all stayed in and ate our parents cooking instead of going out. We also worked our asses off during the weekends but it was all worth it.

The living room was split into two sections with a dining table in the middle. One side was marble themed with a cute fireplace and a beautiful view of the ocean whereas the other looked simple with a TV and sofa. The kitchen was right behind the living room and it was decorated with the colour brown.
