Where the story starts, Amara is on the run . She ran away from her old group home because they use to try to give her unknown drugs and abuse her . But to the state and social workers, acted perfect .
She's been on the run for around 2 weeks now and she's been staying with her aunt, who can't legally take care of her .
So she was put into foster care after he parents died .
Her only family member's she knew of, was her aunt and her cousin Who she's super close with .
