Chapter 1

Chapter 1 Four Years After

            It’s been four years since Dart and the others defeated Melbu Frahma in The Moon that Never Sets. Dart, now twenty-seven years old, was thinking of his father and Rose. Shana, his girlfriend now twenty-two, came to stand beside him. She could tell he was in deep though. “Hey Dart what you thinking about,” said Shana. Dart turned to her and smiled. “It’s been four years since we defeated Melbu Frahma. I just wished my father wouldn’t have held him off,” he said.

            Shana knew he felt lost without his father. He had his father back from the tragic day at Neet but only for a short while. He felt like it wasn’t fair that his father came back in his life just to throw it all away. “He did it to save you and the rest of us and so did Rose. They have lived longer than any of us,” said Shana. “Yea you’re right, I guess it just really got to me that dad was gone again,” he said. Seles had finally been rebuilt after it was raid by the Snadoran forces.

            Dart went downstairs after he heard a knock on the door. As he opened the door, he saw Albert, which is the king of Bale, standing in front of him. “Hey Dart good to see you again,” he said. “It’s good to see you too Albert. What brings you hear,” asked Dart. Dart invited his old friend in to talk. “Well, I have been feeling uneasy lately. I feel like there is something happening like there is a new threat to all of us and we have to stop it,” explained Albert.

            Dart couldn’t believe what his friend said. “When did this happen,” he asked. “One of my knights came with a report that something was attacking villages. No one knows what it is but it’s a danger to all of us. Since the moon is gone I don’t think it’s the Black Monster or Melbu Frahma,” explained Albert. Shana came down to see what was going on. Albert saw her and greeted her. “Hello Shana, you look beautiful as ever. How have you been,” asked Albert.

            She turned red and finally answered him. “I’m fine, I over heard you two talking about something is attacking villages,” said Shana. “Yes something has bee attacking villages and Albert came to tell us we might be needed again as Dragoons,” said Dart. Shana knew what that meant as she looked down and then up to Dart. “Seems we have another journey on our hands don’t we Dart,” she asked.

            “Seems that way,” said Dart. “Come to Bale with me I can explain more there,” said Albert. It had been years since they have been in Bale. Dart and Shana agreed to come with Albert. “Yes we would love to come with you. It’s been a long time since the last time we have been in Bale,” said Dart. “Good I am glad but there is one more thing,” said Albert. Both Dart and Shana were very confused. What else could their friend want? “I have asked the others to come too. They should be arriving soon,” said Albert.

            Dart and Shana were very excited to see their old friends after four years. “So when do we leave,” asked Dart. “We will leave tomorrow its too dark and too dangerous right now,” said Albert. They all agreed to what Albert said. It was time again for the dragoons to come and save the day again. If that was the case then this meant that the times just would not give our heroes a break. Who knows what is attacking the villages or what new dangers awaits them. They were about to find out in Bale.
