Author's note:

From now on when characters are speaking in English you will see  ~""~. The translations are from google translate, so the Arabian may not be 100% correct. The chapters will be pretty long from now on. Also, if you're interested above and here is some music that I listened to while writing this chapter.

A new day once again was gifted upon the people of Masyaf as the sun shined high in the sky. The cool morning spring air felt refreshing for those who were out and about. Everything seemed to be at ease, especially for the assassins. The assassins enjoyed the peaceful morning as they loitered, watched, or studied. Many novice assassins littered the training grounds as they worked to improve their skills and impress their brethren.

"Kadar, Hadi, step into the ring and begin your match," Rauf instructed. Standing off to the side of the ring with his arms crossed as he observed his students. He watched closely as the two young men hopped into the ring with their practice blades and took their places, "And begin."

Kadar was the one to make the first move as he swung his sword down at his opponent. The fellow novice dodged before attacking himself. The young Al-Sayf blue eyes shined with determination as he fought. He felt that he had to try even more than usual today for his elder brother Malik and Altair who are both observing off to the side.

Not far from the fighting ring stood Altair as he leaned against the wall of the fortress. His hood up as he intently watched the novices as they trained. Malik sat at a bench next to the stoic man switching his attention between the book in his hand and his brother's match. Off to the side, a small group of novices stood in as they chatted.

"Did you hear of the strange occurrence that happened the other day?" One novice spoke. He had his hood down, revealing his messy brown locks. Another novice that stood next to him furrowed his brows.

"Are you referring to the woman that was found in the garden?" He asked; the non-hooded novice nodded in confirmation as he crossed his arms.

"Yes. I heard that she had snuck into the fortress during the night to gather information about the creed." One novice that sat on the ground looked up at his comrade with furrowed brows.

"Are you sure you heard right? From what I heard, she was found in horrible condition." Malik and Altair glance over to the small group. They were both familiar with the incident for the word of if spread fast among the brotherhood. The information was a bit scattered and different depending on who is telling.

"I was able to catch a glimpse of the girl when one of our brothers was rushing her to be treated." The group's attention turned to the novice that stood with his gray hood up. His eyes narrowed at the memory. "Her clothes were filthy and covered in blood. So much that it stained the robes of the one who carried her. From what I could see of her condition, her face seemed slightly sunken as if she hadn't eaten in a while and her body was covered with many cuts and bruises. I doubt that she could even move by herself." The group shared the same look of curiosity.

"I heard she was quite young. Were you able to tell?" The hooded novice rubbed his chin in thought.

"It was a bit hard to tell, but she seemed to be sixteen or seventeen." The novice that sat on the ground hesitated before asking his question.
