Book 1: Qrow's daughter (Slow Updates)

season 3 chapter 1

Nobody's pov:

The tournament began and team RWBY and Rhea were battling another team called ABRN in the tournament. Rhea and Blake were fighting a green haired girl with a hoodie and a hoverboard. While professor oobleck and professor port talk on the camera, explaining the Vytal tournament. Port spoke "Now let's get back to team RWBY with their extra Rhea Branwen of Beacon, And team ABRN of Haven.

In the battlefield, the girl or reese launched her hoverboard at Blake and Rhea managed to dodge it and run at her with her weapons in hand and slashed an x form attack on Reese. Reese's managed to dodge a few of Rhea's attacks and Blake kicked back Reese's hoverboard back to her. Reese grabs her hoverboard and she went straight to Rhea and Blake but they both dodged Reese and Rhea used her swords to slice her hoverboard in two. Reese was in the air and grabbed her hoverboard and it turned into gun form and aimed at Rhea and Blake and started shooting, but when she hit the floor. Her butt broke her fall, making Reese drop her guns and hold her butt in pain. Blake and Rhea both made a look when Reese fell, shortly after. Reese recovered and stood up with her hoverboard in hand and one of teammates threw her a fire crystal and she caught it and fused it with her hoverboard.

Rhea and Blake looked at each other and back at Reese who rode her hoverboard to one of her teammates and melted the ice on his feet and came back to Rhea and Blake and managed to push Blake and Rhea against the ice and tried to crush them but they managed to get back up before Reese could. Blake grabbed Rhea's hand and used one of her weapons on the ice and the line attached to it made Blake and Rhea go around the ice, and disappear from Reese's sight. When Reese rode in the direction of Blake and Rhea's disappearance, she saw the clone of Blake and went to attack it but when she came close, the clone disappeared and Blake used the line of her weapon and Reese went straight into the line and groaned in pain and Rhea came out of nowhere and kicked her in the back, to the forcefield and she hit the floor. When Reese looked up at the scoreboard, she saw that she was illuminated from the fight. Rhea smiled and spoke "one down, three to go."

Weiss made a ramp of ice for yang and Blake gave yang the other end of her weapon with a line attached to the other and Blake swung yang with the help of ruby and Rhea and yang punched all three of the last members and they all hit the fire side of the arena. After that, professor port announced team RWBY and Rhea winning the fight. And Ruby screamed in happiness "WE DID IIIIIT!" 

Rhea's pov:

"Is anyone else hungry?" Ruby asked and I replied "I know I am." Blake spoke "I have worked up an appetite." Blake's stomach growled loudly and Weiss spoke sarcastically "gee, if only there was food on fairgrounds. Oh wait." Ruby spoke "It's okay Weiss. I forgot about the fairgrounds too." Weiss spoke "I was being facetious." Ruby exclaimed "well! If you were hungry why didn't you say so?!" Yang suggested "c'mon, I know the perfect place to go." As we walked away. Someone spoke behind us "that's gonna be hard with this." We all turned to see Emerald holding Ruby's wallet. "Good to see you Ruby." Ruby sighs in relief "Emerald, thank you. Girl pockets are the worst."  Yang and I walk up to Ruby and yang asks "what's up em?" Emerald responded "just left the stadium after watching your amazing fight. You guys were awesome!" Ruby was blushing and Blake and Weiss walks up to us.

"I heard your team progressed the next round too." Blake spoke, looking at Emerald. And Weiss said "you know, I feel like we never see your other teammates." Yang asked "how'd they do in the fight?" Emerald though for a second and said "really well." Ruby replied "that's great! Uh, why don't we all go out and get some victory food?" Emerald replied nervously and worried a bit "oh! Gosh, that so nice of you but, my teammates are all kind of... introverted." We all turned to one of Emerald's teammates, or Mercury sniffing a boot and Emerald turned back to us and whispered "very socially awkward." Yang nodded "yeah, I can see that." Emerald smiled at us "so yeah, looks like me and Mercury are heading to the doubles round. How about you guys?" Ruby spoke with pride "well as the leader of this team. I have thought long and hard about this decision." Weiss interrupted "we put it to a vote." Ruby was nervous but quickly recovered "well I suggested we put it to a vote." Blake spoke "we voted for Weiss, yang and Rhea." Weiss curtsies "I will happily represent team RWBY." Yang punched her fists together "yeah, we're gonna kick some butt." I smiled and rolled my eyes "I'm excited to do this." Emerald chuckles and said "well if Mercury and I see you down the line, don't think we'll go easy on ya." Yang smirks and crosses her arms "wouldn't have it any other way." Emerald spoke "alright, well, we're gonna go catch some more fights." We all said our byes and started walking but when we did, I looked behind me at Emerald and Mercury and thought "there's something really wrong with them."

We all went to the noodles stand and ordered our noodles. Yang and Ruby has a regular, Weiss was picky, I got mine with salt and pepper while Blake got hers with fish. Weiss got out her credit card and the man took it and yang said "aww Weiss! What's the occasion?" Weiss answered "consider it thanks for sending me to the doubles round." I raised an eyebrow and turned to Weiss "what's that supposed to mean?" Before she could answer, the man threw back Weiss's card and pointed to a device that said "denied."  We all looked at Weiss and she exclaimed "what? How can my card be declined? I was barely into my monthly allowance." The shopkeep took Blake's bowl and she whimpered "noo." Then we all heard Pyrrha's voice "maybe I could help?" Ruby, yang, and I smiled and Ruby exclaimed "Pyrrha." I smiled "hey." Yang spoke "aw, you don't have to!" Blake quickly said "BUT SHE COULD!" Pyrrha smiled and said "well, I think you all earned it after that battle." Jaune asked "mind if we join you?" We all agreed and team JNPR joined us in eating noodles.

After that, we all finished our noodles and I smiled softly and rubbed my stomach in satisfaction. Ren asked "are you sure it's wise to have eaten before a fight?" Pyrrha spoke "of course! It will give us energy." I looked at team JNPR "she's got a point." Nora burped and Jaune groaned and said "ugh, if I barf, I'm blaming you." Nora made a suggestion "oh! Aim it at the enemy!" I giggled and Ren spoke "Nora! That's disgusting. But if you do feel the urge..." Jaune gave a thumbs up to Ren "got it." Pyrrha spoke "well, we should be off." Ruby asked "so, you think you guys are ready?" Nora spoke "of course! We've got a world-renowned fighter on our team, what's basically a ninja, I can bench five of me,... Jaune, we've trained all year, our weapons are awesome, Glynda barely yells at us, and uh... Jaune!" Ren asked "are you gonna take that?" Jaune replied weakly "she's not wrong..." Nora spoke "I'm kidding! He knows I'm kidding. Don't be so nervous! The worst that could happen is we lose! Then it's just a few more years of walking around school with everyone knowing we're failures our friends will slowly abandon us to preserve their social status, we won't be able to show our faces in class, no one will sit next to us in the cafeteria, Ren and I have no parents, we have no  home left to go to we'll be officially named team lose-iper." Nora laughs then sobs and puts her head on the table.

I felt bad for Ren and Nora for having no family or anywhere to go and thought "poor things." And Ren speaks "Soo yeah. We're feeling pretty good." Pyrrha puts her hands on Jaune and Nora's shoulders and says "don't fret. If anything, we should be looking forward to a fight with actual guidelines and not...well, murderers." Yang spoke "yeah, don't sweat it! We've all faced way worse before." Blake names the things we faced "Grimm invasions, violent extremists, a destructive sociopath." Ruby spoke in excitement "and that's all while we were still in training! Oh, imagine what it'll be like when we graduate!" Weiss spoke in a bit embarrassment "maybe then I'll be able to pay for a meal..." I rolled my eyes and lean my head on my hand while professor port and oobleck call JNPR to battlegrounds.
"Well, it looks like this is it." Everyone got up and Jaune turned to me "I wish you could've fought with us. You would have made a great member of the team in the tournament." I chuckled and sighed "why would you need me, when you got Pyrrha. She's the most greatest warrior I know and plus I got these girls and they need me more than you guys do." Jaune smiles and waves at us "bye guys, wish us luck." Ruby waves "good luck guys."

Me and team RWBY went to the stadium and picked our seats to see team JNPR going against team BRNZ of shade academy. And now their themes have been chosen. Then the themes were chosen and the fight begins.
