For those who don't know Stupid Mario Brothers was a web series created by Rich Alvarez that ran from 2007 to 2013 during its first season it was meant to be a parody series where Mario and Luigi get sick of doing the exact same thing and decided to take a vacation into our world where they do random things you don't often see such as Mario and Luigi watched Lord of the Rings, breaking the 4th wall, referencing past Mario games and others.
Bowser would often send in Wario and Waluigi to capture the Mario Brothers and take them back to the Mushroom Kingdom which often fails with the Wario Brothers usually losing.
The Series would get serious by the Season Finale when Link sent a letter to the Mario Brothers about Our World being in danger and ends the letter with the words "In the Darkness lies the Truth" though It would still retain its comedic nature most of the times.
The Series also includes characters that are not apart of the Mario Franchise such as Pokémon Characters Ash and Brock, fellow Smash Bros characters like Link, Solid Snake and Ness, Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter. The Series also have its own characters such as the Main Antagonist of Season 2 named Nox Decious, The Darkness who is created by Nox Decious and looks exactly like Mario, Walgina Waluigi's girlfriend, A Ninja named Zubashi and Merlin who in this series is Mario's Ancestor and the brother of Nox Decious. There are many Star Wars references in Stupid Mario Brothers most notably the Beam Swords that are used in Super Smash Brothers uses the Lightsaber sound effects.
It was one of my favorite YouTube videos I watched when I was young. One day when I start rewatching the series I got a idea where what if Goku and Ruby get sick of doing the exact same thing in their worlds and decided to leave their respective worlds and go to the Real World for a vacation and ended up being roommates for Mario and Luigi. Ironically in the series Mario, Luigi and the others hated anime except for a few characters like Ryu and Otacon.
