Chapter 15

Ethan's POV:

I squinted my eyes as my head ached in pain. I heard the familiar voices of Bob and Wade as they helped me up.

"Wha-...what happened!?" I said weakly. "Ethan! You're awake!Thank god. We.. We retreated. Most of our hubs are already out. they're is just a couple left. Jacks holding open the portal."

I stood up and looked around. I couldn't make out where we were. "Why.. Why did we retreat?"

Bob and Wade gave a small glance at each other as if they didn't want to explain.

"Dark.... Dark got Y/N..." Bob stuttered. "WHAT!?" My eyes widened. "Is she ok!?!?"

Wade sighed. "Well we-... We don't know... She's under Darks control now. We can't save her right now and Mark almost got killed. We had no choice we had to get out of there."

There was a long silence. I was still trying to put everything together with my head still hurting like fuck.

"Is Mark ok? How's... How's he taking it?" I finally asked. Bob hesitated.

"Not too well... Dark was also thinking about doing the same thing to Him or just killing him right there. He misses Y/N... Her entire team is heartbroken. Most of the people in our hubs are getting healed and then waking up."

I sighed and looked down. "We better go check on some people before we have to wake up... Where are we anyway!?"

"An old abandoned hub." Wade responded. "Used to be Jake Pauls but we know nobody wants to see him anymore." We chuckled quietly and walked over to where Jack was talking with his little sidekick, Sam.

He noticed us and turned around. She smiled slowly. "It's good to see you awake again Ethan."

I nodded in a thanks. "I thought you were holding open the portal?" "I was. Just closed it actually. I think we got everyone. Well... Except for..."

I cut him by patting his shoulder telling him I already knew. He sighed sadly. "Ya... Well almost everyone is waking up. And it's almost morning in Ireland, so I'll see you guys tomorrow night."

We nodded and waved goodbye as he slowly disappeared.

Bob and Wade signalled to me they were going To go talk to others and I nodded letting them go.

I sighed and looked around the old broken hub. I could see Y/N's team standing in the corner all facing the opposite direction of everyone else.

I could see some of them were still crying and the others all had there head lowered. I felt terrible for them... Well, for them and Mark...

I turned around to see Mark sitting on a bench with his face buried into his palms.

I wanted to go check on him but I knew that I should give him a little bit of time.

"I think all of us should take a break from YouTube tomorrow..."

I thought to myself as I noticed groups from our hubs were all either injured or looked exhausted. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they unsubscribed from having to go through that hell.

I checked the time, I had to leave soon. I sighed and closed my eyes. "We can fix this... W-we can fix this...
