Our heroes now arrived at Kabu's Gym to collect their fire badge in order for them to enter Hammerlock, but while Hop and Victor successfully manage to beat Kabu, Gloria and Bella need to get their fire badge before they could advance to their next journey.
Bella's P.O.V
We all showed up to Kabu's gym to go up against him, we just needed to pass his trial, so far I was able to capture Vulpix, Litwick, and Sizzilpede. Now it was Gloria and My turn to go up against Kabu, I was feeling nervous that my Rockruff comfort me when I watched Gloria's battle, it was a rough one but she managed to succeed and defeat Kabu, now it was my turn to shine.
Bella: alright Ruth, let's do this
I walked up to the entry way and into the field where Kabu was standing, and I faced him. I was a bit nervous but I know my Pokémon can do this.
Kabu: welcome! I am Kabu, the Fire-type Gym leader. The fact that you are here means you've bested both Milo's Grass-type and Nessa's Water types, too. That's quite an accomplishment
Bella: well, I was a bit nervous to participate, but I regain my confidence and now I'm ready to battle you Kabu
Kabu: yes. Every Trainer and Pokémon trains hard in pursuit of victory. But that means your opponent is also working hard to win. In the end, the match is decided by which side is able to unleash their true potential. Good luck, Bella
Referee: the battle between Gym Leader Kabu vs Gym Challenger Bella will now begin!!
Kabu: Ninetails, you're up! [toss his poke ball]
[Ninetails appears]
Bella: Moana! Let's wash them away! [toss her poke ball]
[Moana Aka Milotic appears]
Kabu: Ninetails! Use Ember!
Bella: Moana dodge it and use Water Pulse!!
Moana dodged Ninetails attack and used Water Pulse which made a huge effect on Nine Tails, while Ninetails Ember did little effect. The battle was getting heated up when Moana used Aqua Tail, after that Ninetails fainted and was knocked out.
Referee: Ninetails is unable to battle, Moana wins
Bella: way to go Moana!!
Moana [Milotic]: Miloooooo!!
Kabu: Arcanine! You're up next! [toss a poke ball]
[Arcanine appears]
Arcanine: Arf!!
Bella: alright Moana, use Water Gun!!
Moana [Milotic]: Miloooo!!!
Moana attacked Arcanine with Water Gun and dodged Arcanine's attack, before long Moana was growing tired so I decided to switch it up.
Bella: alright Moana, take a break! [Moana return in her poke ball] Ruth! You're up
Ruth [Rockruff]: ruff!! [run up to the field]
Bella: alright Ruth! Use Quick Attack!
Kabu: Arcanine, Dodge it and use Ember!
Just like that, Kabu fell for the bait and I told Ruth to use Rock Throw. Arcanine took a huge hit and was knocked out.
Referee: Arcanine is unable to battle, Ruth wins
Bella: that's the spirit Ruth!
Ruth [Rockruff]: ruff ruff!! [growl]
Kabu: light that fire and get your mind moving, Kabu! There still must be a path to victory!
Centiskorch, you're up! [toss a poke ball]
[Centiskorch appears]
Centiskorch: korch!!
Bella: alright Ruth, ready to Dynamax for the for the first time?
Ruth [Rockruff]: ruff!!
Kabu: burn bright, Centiskorch. Let Gigantamax change your size and your form!
Kabu dynamax Centiskorch and I was getting ready to dynamax, I got Ruth back in his poke ball and wait till it grew big. I then tossed it up in the air waiting to see Ruth in his Gigantamax form, when suddenly the poke ball shrank back to it's normal size and Ruth appeared. In. The. Air. I panicked and ran up to Ruth to catch him safe and sound.
