Red String-
When you turn sixteen, there is a day in the year everyone gets red string connected to your soulmate. The day is Soulmate Day and it's on July, 15th. Let's say your birthday is on July 25th, and you turn sixteen on that day. You and your soulmate have to wait the next year on that day to both get your string. A bit complicated haha sorry.

Deku POV:

It was a few days until my birthday. I was really excited and pumped up. Also, my birthday is the same day as Soulmate Day. I guess that means two celebrations heh.

I was kinda nervous at first, but hopefully my soulmates birthday is before July 15th. That would be really exciting.

I searched in the internet most of people's soulmates are your friends or a neighbor. You never know, but calculations say 90% of the time, your soulmate is very close to you.

It was summer so no school, but lots of training. My mom recommended me not to push my self but I did so anyway to get stronger. I feel guilty on days off.

I got ready for training and did some workouts, went to the gym, and jogged back home.

"Mom, I'm home!"

"Oh, Izuku! Come sit, I have something to tell you."

"What is it?"

"Well, I was walking and I seen Katsuki's mom. We wanted to hang out so for your birthday, we got a week long hotel on a summer beach!"

"Wait, really?! Oh thank you Mom!"

I went up to hug her. I didn't really think much of what she said until I went up to my room and started to pack.

Wait, she said Kacchan's mom... Does that mean Kacchan is coming too? Oh no, if he does he's gonna kill me!

"M-Mom?"

"Yes Izuku?"

"I-Is Kac- Katsuki coming?"

"I'm guessing, we have four tickets."

"O-Oh, okay mom!"

I went back into my room. Oh no, I'm really gonna die. On my birthday week too... I might not even see my soulmate.

I got those thoughts out of my head and soon enough, I was ready to leave. Today was July 12th and we leave tomorrow, on a Monday.

I got some dinner and got ready for bed. I was excited for the trip but scared. I'm gonna be in a car ride with Kacchan. Not that I dislike him, just he hates me...

July 13th

I got a decent sleep and the morning I woke up at 5 am. It was early but enough time for us to eat and go pick up Kacchan and Mitsuki at 5:30 am.

The car ride was 2 hours and 25 minutes, we had to get to our hotel before 8:30.

We pulled up to their house, I was trembling and tried to calm down.
