I took in a deep breath as I stood behind the door to my future. Well, that sounds dramatic. More like the door to an opportunity. I had been hired to become a dance instructor for the Korean label JYP. And today was my first day on the job. I was specifically assigned to the rookie group Stray Kids, who I hadn't heard of until about a month ago.Since then, I tried very hard to learn all of their names and watch their dance practices and performances. After a few videos and news articles, I realized how much talent and potential these boys really had. I call them boys, but I'm about as old as them. Which was surprising considering I was hired to help them.
I reached my hand out for the knob of their dance room. Ready to enter my first day, I was shaking. What if they hated me? What if they were better at dancing then I am? What if I get fired because I'm not good enough? All these worries entered my mind, but I took another deep breath and pushed open the door.
I looked inside to see the group of boys standing around the room stretching and talking with each other. All of their heads turned towards me, with curious expressions.
"Um." I stared at them completely still, I was frozen with fear.
"Oh, hello." The one I recognized as Bang Chan waved. "You must have the wrong room, female trainees are down the hall." He smiled politely.
"Uh, actually." I closed the door behind me. "I'm your new dance instructor." I smiled sheepishly.
Their eyes went wide as their jaws basically dropped to the ground.
"R-really?" The squirrelish boy Jisung stepped forward with his eyebrows raised.
I nodded shyly, was it really that big of a shock? Were they expecting a dude?
"Well, can you tell us your name?" The youngest boy Jeongin walked up to me with a cute smile on his face.
"Oh, sure." They all surrounded me. Wow, pressure much? "My name is Moon Eunyoung, and I'm 20 years old." I bowed politely.
"Wait really?" The deep-voiced Felix spoke up. "You're our age?"
"Y-yes." I looked towards the ground.
"Guys, you're making her feel nervous, step back a little." Chan pushed them back into a single file line. "Now, we will introduce ourselves to the nice lady." He cleared his throat. "Hello, my name is Bang Chan and I am the leader of Stray Kids." He bowed with the same polite smile.
"I'm Lee Minho, and I'm the sexy dancer of Stray Kids." He bowed with a sneaky grin on his face. The same cat-like smirk as always.
"Hello, I'm Kim Seungmin, I'm the lead vocal of Stray Kids!" He bowed. Always a dandy boy.
"Hi, I'm Yang Jeongin, Desert Fox of Stray Kids!" He smiled cutely with a deep bow. What a charming cutie.
"I'm Lee Felix, deep voice rapper of Stray Kids." He giggled cutely after using his deepest voice for the introduction. Still a soft boy.
"Hi, I'm Changbin, dark rapper of Stray Kids." He bowed with a smug look on his face. Oh please, we all know you're baby Changbin.
"I'm Han Jisung, cool rapper of Stray Kids." He smiled his heart-shaped smile and bowed. Ah, cute boy.
The last one in line cleared his throat. "Hello, I'm Hwang Hyunjin, the cute dancer of Stray Kids." His eye smile caught me off guard, it seemed much more charming in person. I was mesmerized by his sparkly disposition. I stared for a few seconds before shaking it off.
"I'm really excited to work with all of you." I bowed deeply with a bright smile on my face. I could sense the new beginning starting for me.
