Chapter 20: Letter

"I'm too late." You said. You felt a hand on your head. It was Jimin. He was patting you while you lean on Taehyung's shoulder.

"There were so much time left that I can still talk to him but I still chose my pride. Just what kind of a person am I?!" You said, Taehyung move you closer hugging you.

"Stop crying Y/N, Jungkook will be upset if he saw you crying over him." Jimin said, "I can't help it Jimin, you don't understand." You replied.

"Just think that Jungkook did it for the better, for the sake of you two." Taehyung added, he cupped your face and wiped your tears off with his thumb.

Taehyung gave you a warm smile, he let go of you and you looked at Jimin. He smiled too.

"Let's go?" Jimin asked you and offer you his hand, you nodded while still crying.

- Flashback -

After Chaewon left, you hurriedly go to the kitchen and unfold the letter.

Hi Y/N, I just wanted to say sorry for hurting you so much. The memories we have together will always be in my heart, thank you for everything Y/N, thank you for loving me and thank you for being loyal.

I found it hard to say this to you in person so I'm just gonna write it, I found out that I have a sickness.

I'm letting you go because I had to, not because I wanted it. I have a favor tho, don't be sad ok? I don't want to see you being sad again because of me. Be happy for me, when I got back there, let's be friends hmm? Then, goodbye.

It's been 6 days, you caught a cold and Jimin said you should stay in home for awhile and they will both talk to the teacher and excused you.

You felt very lucky to have both of those guys on your side.

Now that you're not sick anymore, and also you're doing fine now. You decided to attend classes again. Jungkook still haven't texted you, you guess that he's still curing himself. You always pray for him.

"Y/N, are you done?" Jimin knocked on your door, you opened it, "Let's go!" you said putting a smile on your face.

Your first, second and third class is done,  you invited Hyeji and the other ones to eat with you.

"So how's love life, Y/N?" Jin asked you and wiggled his eyebrows, you forgot to tell them that you two broke up.

You sighed, "We broke up." You finally said and you're pretty sure they were shocked. Silence filled the air.

"Sorry for that." Jin added, "Nah, it's ok. I'm over it now, we are still friends." You said and smiled at them, they sigh in relief.

Before you guys sit down on your table, three girls appeared in front of you.

"Hi Y/N unnie! I see that you are very close with Taehyung, can you please introduce me to him?" The girl in the middle said.

"Uh... haha" You awkwardly laugh and scratch your head.

"Oh rude of me, my name's Mako! I'm from Japan but my mom transferred me here." She said and suddenly she offered her hand, you grabbed it and you guys shakes hand.

"So um.. will you introduce me to him?" She asked, you were about to reply when Hyeji stopped you.

"Why can't you do it yourself?" Hyeji said crossing her arms. Yoongi grabbed her pulling her towards him.

"Thanks." You whispered to Yoongi and he nodded.

"Yeah why not do it yourself!" Jin said and Namjoon also stopped him.

"Yeah sure I'll do that. Don't mind my friends, they're usually like that." You said awkwardly and chuckle.

"Thank you unnie! You are so nice! Then we're gonna go now! See you unnie ~" Mako said and started hopping away.

"Why did you agree!" Jin said rolling his eyes, Namjoon put his hand on Jin's mouth, not letting Jin to talk.

"Obviously she's just gonna use you, you're too nice for this world Y/N, try to be a bitch sometimes." Hyeji said and you just shrugged.

Suddenly you felt arms on your shoulder. It was Taehyung.

"Why do you look so problematic?" Taehyung asked you, you saw Mako looking at the two of you on the other side.

You pushed Taehyung's arms away.

"Why you push my arms away like that?" Taehyung asked, making a cute face. Why is this guy like this? He's not like that when he was a baby.

"Obviously because she's uncomfortable with you, try to hold yourself back." Jimin said and patted your head.

You just looked at the ground, "Can we sit already? I'm tired." Yoongi said, typical Yoongi.

"Yeah sure, let's sit. I'm hungry too." Namjoon added.

You looked at Taehyung to make sure he was not upset. He just winked at you.

Why would I be concern of him! Of course he would do that.

"What are you still thinking?" Jimin whispered and you flinched.

"Oh sorry did I scared you?" Jimin asked.

"No." You said and looked at him, he just smiled. Why is this guy so sweet? He grabbed your arm, "Let's go sit." He said still smiling at you.

When you sat, you can't help but to look at your friends and thought of how lucky you are to have them in your life.

Just seeing your friends with you made you entirely happy.

They made your High School and College life the most memorable for you. You can't help but to smile.
