Chapter 8

I use my foot and ducked down, quickly swinging my foot under him. He fell to the ground dropping the knife as I ran back to my bike at the pizza place.

I looked over my shoulder noticing he was following me still. I need to lose him, but how?

I looked around before spotting an alleyway that lead over to Hannah's house.

I quickly dashed through it hopping to lose him from all the turns. When I arrived in front of her house, I ran up to the door and knocked.

The door opened to reveal Hannah's father.

"Oh hello Mr. Dawnson, may I come in?"

"Oh of course but Hannah isn't here",he said before letting me in. I looked behind me before entering and sat on the couch.

"Is everything alright? Did something happen?"

"Everything is fine. Do you mind if I stay here till Hannah gets back?"

"Oh sure. That's fine (Y/N), your like family to us. Would you like a glass of water?"

"Oh um sure"

He walked away as I quickly pulled out my phone.

Where are you?

"Well I'm on my way home of course. Where are you? I went by the pizza place and found your amulet laying on the ground near the dumpsters"

I rubbed my temple before saying "Its a long story, I'll explain later. I'm at your house waiting for you"

Hannah replyed with a "ok" as her father brought in a glass of ice cold water. "Thank you very much"

"No problem (Y/N)", he said as he took a sip of his own glass.

"If you don't mind me asking, how's living with the Lake's?"

"Who?",I asked.

"Mrs.Lake, the lady your staying with until someone decides to adopt you",he said.

"Um I don't-",I said before getting cut off by a click of the door.

I turned and saw Hannah coming through the door. I stood up and took her by the arm before dragging her upstairs.

"Explain"

"Well turns out Chris and his sister works with Raven. They are dragons", I said as I looked around. I wanted to make sure her father stayed downstairs.

"That's doesn't make any sense though (Y/N). Chris is clearly human"

"He's a hybrid. So is his sister, I guess you can call the changelings or something since they change between human and dragon",I said.

"We need to stay away from them then. Since you know their secret, your in even more danger than before", Hannah said.

"We need to report back to Star about this and do some research. We can't just stand here while they run around doing things for Raven. Who knows what kind of danger they can bring to Aracadia", I said.

"Star! We need to talk!", I yelled as I entered the library.  Hannah followed me.

Inside, Flappper was munching on a book and Star was sorting her shelf's.

"About what Mistress (Y/N)?"
