The sakura trees are blooming, the tents are up, and the foods are sizzling on the grill. It was that time of year. The sakura festival is finally here! Me, Sana, Momo, and Mina were waiting for the weekend to come closer so we can have a girls day at the festival!
We didn't bother planning what kind of kimonos we were going to wear because we didn't mind just going in our regular clothes. And I also never worn a kimono in my life before so who knows how I would look in one. Even though its just going to be just us girls I kind of wish that Asahi would be there too.
I'm currently a sophomore and I've had a crush on Asahi ever since my freshman year. Neither one of us had any interactions with each other until he became my seatmate in art class. I developed even more feelings for him as we started talking to each other.
~The Next Day~
I woke up to the sound of my phone going off. Picking up my phone I saw the girls blasting the group chat.

Me: Why are you girls blasting the group chat so much?
Momo: Y/N its time to get ready!!!
Sana: Yea did you forget what day it was!!!
Mina: Get ready girl we'll be at your house in an hour ok!!
Me: Ok I'll get ready
Sana: Alright see you later!
Momo: Bye Bye!!
As I put my phone down on my bed, I got up and headed straight to the bathroom to take a shower. After the shower I went to my closet to pick my outfit for the day.

As I was putting my clothes on the doorbell started ringing rapidly. Dang I know the girls have been waiting for this day to come but they really need to calm down lol. I ran down the stairs from my room and opened the front door.
As I opened the door I was surprised to see all of them wearing matching kimonos.
Sana: I know you said that we should go to the festival in our normal clothes but we decided that we should take nice group photos while wearing kimonos
Momo: Yea it would be super cute!!
Me: But I've never worn before and you girls know that.
Mina: It's ok Y/N me and Sana will show you how to put one on
