The Tree

Today we were meeting up with Dan and Phil under our tree. The story behind this tree sounds like it's out of a book, but none the less it's a good one. We found this tree when it was only small, but still big enough for us to climb. In the sixth grade me and Dan were the best of friends and we always went on adventures together, one day we were in the local park when Dan found a trail that was hidden really well. We decided to follow it and it opened up to this beautiful clearing with a little lake off to the side, but in the middle was a tree. The tree back then was the size of a normal tree so fortunately we could climb it without the branches snapping under us.
We soon fell in love with the area and decided to hang out there whenever the other needed help or we just wanted to get away from our families. A few weeks later two new boys arrived at our school. Their names were Ian and Phil. Now, knowing that we were both gay/bi, we instantly fell in love with them, and especially their eyes. Ian's eyes were an electrifying light blue, while Phil's were a more pale blue. We instantly became close friends, and soon, best friends. We decided to take them to our special tree. We played in that clearing and climbed that tree, then later we sat under it to cool down. Not knowing what each other was doing, Dan and I got up and said Ian and Phil at the same time. We looked at each other and laughed for a bit when I told him to go first. He then walked up to Phil and knelt down beside him and took his hand in his, then he said: 'Phil I have loved you since the day I laid eyes on you, and I knew that no matter how hard I tried and how many times I told myself that you were straight and you didn't like me, I could never shake that feeling. So here I am now, probably making a fool of myself in front of my friends, about to ask you something I've been wanting to ask for a while... Phil... Will you be my boyfriend?' His eyes were starting to tear up, and Phil was already crying. Phil pulled Dan down to him and gave him the biggest hug I've ever seen. Phil then let Dan go and Dan said: 'Sooooo... Is that a yes?' Phil smirked and replied 'Yes you idiot!'
I heard Ian Awww beside them, and I thought this was the best time to do what I had been planning to do. 'Ian?' He looked away from Dan and Phil, to up at me. 'I guess Dan kinda beat me to it but what I was going to say was that, when you and Phil walked into that class room that day, all I could focus on was you. Your eyes, your hair, your smile. All I cared about right then in the entire world, was you. And I couldn't get over your eyes and the way they sparkle when you smile or find something interesting. I then realized that I loved all those features about you, even if you hated them. But basically what I'm trying to say is, Ian Hecox? Will you be the love I've been searching for?' I ended my little speech with my cheesy smile. I watched nervously as Ian got up and walked to me. 'Are you an idiot?' My heart then shattered as I thought that he now hated me for doing this, and I was ready for him to tell me off. 'Oh... I'm sorry Ian. I-I think I'll go now' I was about to leave when he grabbed me by the shirt collar and pressed his lips into mine. It was passionate, gentle and just lovely. He broke the kiss and whispered 'You're an idiot. Of course I will!' I smiled at him and hugged him.
And here we are, 16 years later and about to do the same thing, like every year. We played in the clearing, climbed the now massive tree, and sat down and had lunch. I looked at Dan, as he looked at me and nodded. It was time. We both got up at the same time, just like sixteen years ago, and said their names. They both looked at us and I let Dan speak first. (D= Dan, A= Anthony)
D: 'Phil?'
A: 'Ian?'
D: '16 years ago, we sat under this same tree, after doing the same activites'
A: 'So we decided to make a tradition of it because it would be the same day as every years anniversary'
D: 'But today's anniversary is different. Sure we played the the same game, climbed and sat under the same tree, but we wanted to ask you something' Dan and I then, both got down on one knee at the same time.
A: 'Ian Andrew Hecox?'
D: 'Philip Michael Lester?'
A&D: 'Will you marry me?' We finished it off with our smirks and opened the boxes. Inside each there was a beautiful gold ring trimmed with diamond. But on the top there wasn't a ruby or diamond, on Ian's there was a doughnut, and on Phil's there was a little lion. They both ran up to us and squeezed us in a hug. We hugged back 'Yes! Yes of course we will!' We then broke the hug to put the rings on. 'Wait wait wait' we all looked at Phil. 'Did you two plan this?' Dan and I looked at each other and nodded. We all laughed. After that we were pretty much just talking about wedding plans like what date it's on, what colours are we using, what kind of cake we are getting.
It was all pretty fun to just sit and talk about something together. Then Dan had his idea face on, 'What if we have, a double wedding?' We looked at him like he was crazy. 'Ok just hear me out, if we have a double wedding, it won't cost as much as two separate ones, the guests will only have to prepare for one awesome wedding and not two, we used to go on double dates all the time, and it will be twice as awesome!' We all took in what he just said when we said it was an awesome idea. We continued talking until night then we all went home.
What an adventure this is gonna be!
Authors note bitchez!: Hoorah! I finally updated! (Even though I had 3 days without Internet!) And this one is a mix of both ships! Yeah I hope you enjoyed this guys, I think that I might do a pattern, as in like, Ianthony, then Phan, then together? I don't know tell me what you guys think in the comments!
