My family and I finished putting all of the boxes into the garage. Just in time for the grand tour of the beautiful house and its lawns. We start downstairs where the necessities reside.
When you first walk through the front door, there is this large sitting area with two chairs, end tables, and a giant red rug.
If you turn right, you see the garage and a half-bath. The garage is large enough to fit two cars, but only one is inside, a large Jeep, that has dust on hood, so it seems it hasn't been driven in a while. All of our boxes are in the other car space.
We walk back inside to visit the half-bath. It looks as if they were going for a yellow theme in this room. The shower curtain, the toilet cover, the bath mat, the towels, and the hand soap holder were all a pale yellow color.
Going to the left of the entryway, you see the dining room, the kitchen, the living room, the library/office, and two bedrooms.
The dining room has a large dark oak table and matching chairs large enough to fit ten hungry guests, a giant blue rug, and a stand that holds about seven bottles of different alcoholic beverages.
The kitchen is very old-looking, a lot different than the other rooms we visited. The counters are an off-white country style. Most of the paint is chipping and fading away. On a corner counter is a very large old-looking cookbook on a stand that looks to be handwritten. The book is flipped to a page for a type of green bean casserole.
The living room is quite large. It resides two large light grey couches with lots of decorative pillows, a dark oak coffee table and matching side tables, and a very large television sitting on top of a fireplace. The whole room is cream-carpeted with not a single stain in sight.
The office has a simple desk and chair with a computer. The computer is opened to an equestrian club website, so I assume they own horses. The room is also filled with three very tall bookshelves with lots of old books in every crevice and a chair similar to the ones in the sitting area.
The first bedroom is off-limits because it is Mr. and Mrs. Quinns' bedroom. The second bedroom is where my parents and Rosie are going to stay. The room is dark red themed with a king-sized bed and a bathroom that is also dark red themed.
Next we went up the stairs, which holds five bedrooms with a bathroom in every room. The first room on the right is an empty guest room that's light green themed. Next to that room, is their apparent son's room, which I just found out til now, who is eighteen and a senior in high school. His room was also off-limits. The last room on the right is my room. It was light purple themed with white furniture and a queen-sized bed. Mrs. Quinn said she had a fun time picking out the furniture and decor because she's always wanted a daughter. The first room on the left is Elliot's room which was dark blue themed with darker furniture and a twin bed. The last room upstairs is Cassie's room which was light pink themed with birch-colored furniture and a twin bed.
Everyone was heading back downstairs, but I stopped to take one more look of my bedroom imagining all of my belongings in it. When all of a sudden I felt a large hand on my lower back. I turned my head to see a man standing next to me. He looked a lot different from me. He had dark brown hair and emerald green eyes. The eyes reminded me a lot of Mrs. Quinn's eyes so I assumed this was their son. He was wearing a dark black band t-shirt of a band I've never heard of and dark blue jeans. He was very muscular and a bit taller than me. He was very attractive. I, on the other hand, had long light blonde hair and bright blue eyes. I was very skinny and I was wearing a light pink crop top with flowers on it and light blue skinny jeans.
"Do you like your room?" He says at last.
"Yes I do, it's very beautiful." I reply.
"That's good, I'm Derek by the way." He says.
"I'm Sierra." I reply.
He takes his hand off of my back and goes to shake my hand.
"I guess you're my new neighbor." He says while chuckling.
"I guess so." I reply.
"Well let me know if you need anything, I'm only one door away." He says.
"Ok, thank you." I reply.
He opens his door and enters. I'm staring at him kind of checking him out and he notices and smiles. I smile then blush and look away. I walk downstairs to join the rest of my family to check out the lawns.
Outside there is a giant in-ground pool, an outdoor grilling set, and a horse stables with four horses. One black horse, one dark brown horse, one light brown and cream horse, and one grey and white spotted horse. I'm instantly attracted to the horses and walk over and pet each and every one of them.
"She's always been the wild child." My father says while chuckling.
"Well she can ride the horses anytime she wants." Says Mr. Quinn which makes me smile wide.
"Well thank you." Says my mother in response.
Everyone else went deeper into the woods following the horse trail when all of the sudden a giant black dog runs up to me and jumps onto me knocking me over. Derek comes dashing out of the house shouting "Latin, no, off Latin." He reaches down and lifts me up off of the ground.
"I'm so sorry about Latin." He states.
"It's ok, he just came out of nowhere. I would've been more prepared if I saw him first." I said while chuckling.
"Yeah, he likes to hide in those bushes over there, so I guess he spotted you." He replies.
"Oh ok, that's good to know for future reference." I state.
"Here let me help clean you off, you have mud all over yourself, and if my parents see you they'll have a fit." He states.
"Oh ok, thank you." I reply.
We both enter the house and he takes me to the half bath. I inform him my clothes are in the boxes out in the garage. He comes back from upstairs with one of his long band t-shirts, another band I've never heard of. He grabs a wet paper towel and wipes off my face, neck, and arms. He walks out of the bathroom to let me change. I open the door and walk out.
"Man, you look better in that than I do." He says while chuckling.
"Heh thanks." I reply while blushing and my hair falling onto my face like I let it when I get shy.
He comes over and tucks my hair behind my ear when the door opens and our parents walk in.
"Well what's going on here." Mrs. Quinn says while grinning.
"Latin tackled her into the mud, so I gave her a change of clothes." He said.
"Ah that's right," says Mr. Quinn, "Latin is our family dog, he must of gotten excited to see you Sierra."
"I guess so." I reply.
Mrs. Quinn says, "And this is our son Derek."
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Both my parents say while shaking his hand.
Everyone starts walking towards the living room when my mom glances back at me kind of mad like she was saying "remember yourself Sierra, this isn't a game." I look down after that and watch my feet as I walk.
"Well this is the end of the tour, feel free to go off and do your own things." Says Mr. Quinn.
My family and I start taking our boxes to our rooms.
