*Austin's's POV*

Before I met Justin, I met Devon, who was so appealing at the time. I was just getting discovered and noticed, and he came out of nowhere to help me through all of it. Because what most don't know is the stresses and struggles of fame, really.

1 year earlier..................................................................................................................................................

"So, Aust, how's the channel coming along?" my friend Devon asks me as we walk into the recording studio to get a demo going for Cash Money records.

"Well, acutally, Dev," I say in complete excitment. "100 thousand subscribers now. All thanks to you, nonthekess, bro."

"No prob, Aust. What's a manager for?"

I'm so excited to finally be recording a demo. And for what record company? The best! If this goes well I could be apart of YMCM Records.

We enter and I see Justin Bieber just sitting there, pissed off looking. "Are you Austin MAhone?" he asks, not even once looking over my way.

"Sup, JB!" Devon shouts, giving the Biebs a bro hug.

Justin's frown turned into a smile. "I haven't seen you in a hot ass mintue, man," he says to Devon. "What you doing here?"

Devon replies, "I'm actually Austin's manager."

Justin looks my way for the first time. "Oh, then he must have some talent," JB says coldly.

Ewww, I think. Why you got be so mean?

Devon jumps in, "Actually, he has alot. You're the one auditioning him, though?"

JB nods. "Yes, and we don't have enough room in the industry for a copy of a copy."

EWW! "I'm not a copy of no copy," I defend myself.

"Prove it," he says, sitting down, gesturing me to the door to the mic room.

"Fine," I say, walking over and closing the door.

I see Devon and Justin laughing an having a good ol' time on the other side. I didn't know they even knew other, let alone good bros. And, Justin is one of my idols, well was, until I actually met the freakin' rude Canadian.

"What you singing?" Justin asks through the speaker. His attitude though makes me want to knock him out, but I'm a classy betch.

I was actually going to sing a cover, but this situation is too important and difficult seeming to waste it covering. "Something I wrote," I say timidly, knowing Devon and I agreed on a cover. But a cover is just going to support JB's case of me just being a copy of a copy.

And I ain't no copy!

"Start," JB says. Devon is so nervous becuase he never heard me sing a song I wrote myself, but this was going to be good, well, I hope.

I never was more nervous than i was then. And, it was hot in that recording studio. Way too hit and stressed and nervous i was to keep myself conscious.

*Justin's POV*

Did this kid just really fallout? That's a first to witness. Devon runs into the room witha cup of water. If Devon wasn't his manager, he shouldve just let that copy of a copy lay there unconscious until his replacement ass woke himself up.

I walk into the room to see if the kid was dead, or worse just fainted.

"He's breathing," Devon says, hecticly, like I cared that much whether this kid was alive or not. I had too much stress of my own to be worrying about a new kid entering the industry.

"Well, is he getting up soon to audition, or like what?" I ask. "Because me and Selena have a date night !tonight. Though, anything is better than going out anywhere with that witch. Always so clingy she is!

"Alright no problem," says Devon. "I'll see you later and talk about aviabilities and such?" Devon gets up, leaving the kid just lay there.

"I don't know. He couldn't even audition without going cold. How--" I put my hand over my fae in sheer stress. "How can you ever expect him to perform in front of people?"

"Trust me," Devon replies. "He performed before, succesfully, too. I don't kow what happened."

My phone rings. "Well, Selena's calling. I got to go. Make sure he doesn't die or something," I say before exiting.

Firs thing first, that boy had something, I don't know--talent or what?

*Austin's POV*

I wake up and the first thing I remeber is I just blew my damn audition with the Biebs and YMCMB! I look at Devon who is doing a line of coke s usual.

Devon sees me and exclaims, "You had me so damn stressed!"

I manage to get up without falling again due to the post-fallout dizzyness. I walk over and sit next to him. "I'm so sorry," I say.

He looks at me. "I hate that I can't hate you," he says.

I smile. "Was it bad with Justin?"

"He somewhat denied another audition," he says before sonrting a line.

"I'm so bad," I say, cuffing my head. "I just can't do one thing right!"

He took my hand. "We can always just send a tape and see where that will take us."

"Really?"I ask, suprised.

"SIKE!" he says. He's high, ugh. "They'll think you're aututuned."

"Fuck you! How in the hell did I ever get stuck with a cokehead for a manager?"

"Stop dissing it when you never tried it," he relpies, cracking up. THis is like the worst moment of my life and his since I"m his only client, but he's having such a great time, and just because of just 1 line...

He sees me eyeing the coke he has set up for his finishing line. His jaw drops. "Is my crystal clear Austin really thinking about trying a line? Oh my gawd."

"I'm no copy of you Bieber," I say before I experience the drug that will change my life. I didn't know it would do that.

Burning, love, happiness. "Fuck it," I say afterwards. "Get us some more."

I was on the road with no way off to the pavement...
