Before I died

I was walking through the town.Humans were already...how can I say it? Done.I heard that two escaped and now everyone is looking for them.Of course I am too.I'm hungry,ok? You can't understand us.I know how you feel about us,but you see everything from your point of view, not ours.I would do anything to just die and leave the humans alone, but I can't.My body does what it wants. My brain has no power...

Unlike in the movies you see,we can actually talk.We are not stupid,ok?! We are just dead. It's true that we can't control our actions, but it's just when we go hunting. The wierd fact is that everything is like turning black and we just stop.I can't see anything. All I can do is follow the scent of the alive ones.

"What are you thinking about?"she asked me.You know how you humans have those nerds, who you call 'know-it-all'? Well we actually do have one that knows everything. She's not a zombie.Thought, she makes us.How can I explain? She calls us mistakes.

You're probably wondering why.Well...she's a pretty powerfull...thing.I don't know what she is honestly and she's not THAT important,so we don't need to get into details.

Anyways! As I was saying...she has lots of powers, but humans can control her with some old rituals,so in this way,she makes the death ones alive again. And that's when we come in the sight.Sadly, all she can do is get back our soul from upthere and lock it in our dead body, that will never ever be alive again. So we are basically humans' mistakes.

"It's nothing..." I said.

"I brought you on the Earth not too long, but I still know something's up. Name it."she said. I guess you can't fool the know-it-all.

"About my old life..." I sighed.

"I think you are about to find out more about it than you ever expected..." she replied and looked at something behind me.

"What?" I mumbled and took a look.Oh humans...Wait! Humans!?

There was a beautiful woman around 25 years old and she was carrying a baby girl around 3 or 4 years. The girl was crying. It almost broke my heart. Why? Because I knew that little cry from somewhere,I don't remember from where thought...

The woman came to a dead line and the other zombies were slowly following her.I walked towards that direction too.She was trapped in our game. She just basically signed her death.I looked one more time at her.She was looking at me too. In my dead eyes. She had sparkly big eyes and not gonna lie,she was gorgeous.I knew her from somewhere, but from where thought.

The little girl started crying harder and hid her head in her mother's,I guess, chest. It was a sad sight. Then the woman started cradling her in her arms and mumbled a song.I know that song!

Flashback:

"Look Ross, she's crying again..."my beautiful wife said.

"Well can you blame her? I was scared too." I laughed.

"Come here baby."she said and picked up our daughter, who was crying hard. She hid her face in her mother's chest. It was so cute. Then she started to mumble a song, wich calmed our little angel down.

"She's so like you."she giggled and I chuckled.I wrapped my arms around her from behind.

"I love you." I whispered in her ear.

"I love you more."she replied with a smile.

End of flashback

"Laura?" I let out a breathe. She looked at me with tears in her eyes. She was scared.Scared of me...My girls!

"Stop it!" I yelled. Everything around me stopped and she came back.

"You have your wish now. Be carefull. You get just one."she said.

"I want my life back." I said.

"I'm sorry Ross, but I can't do this.I can only give you another life, but you will still be dead. It's a warning. You will not eat brains anymore and you will get your looks back, but you won't be capable to feel or remember anything."she warned.I thought about it for a second. If that means I will protect my girls, then no matter what,I will do it!

"I accept!" I said.

"As you wish..."then everything went white...

And that's how my story begun...
