Girls' night party...?

"It's really been a tiring day! We had to stay at school even the whole afternoon..." the curly haired girl was walking slowly, carrying the heavy rucksack.

The black haired girl laughed.
"Well, what else could we do? The books we needed for the essay can only be found in the school library..."

The curly haired girl opened the door.
Once inside, they both threw their school bags on the floor.

"Oof!" The curly haired girl unzipped her jacket "Maya, do you want something to eat or drink? Some tea? Biscuits?"

The black haired girl hung her jacket on the chair.
"No, thanks...oh, Sarah? Is there any good movie we can watch this evening?".

"At nine there's a nice comedy, with a good act-".
Sarah got interrupted by the doorbell.
"Here she is!!".
She opened the door.
"Hey there, Karina! Come in, come in!".

"Hey" the girl gazed at Maya, then shook her hand "I'm Karina".

"I'm Maya".

"I've wanted you guys to meet each other for a looong, long time!" Sarah put her hands on the girls' shoulders "I bet this night will be awesome!".

Maya and Karina were now sitting on the sofa, while Sarah was speaking on the phone to the pizzeria.

Maya took a better look at the girl beside her.
She was wearing a skinny red bodysuit, a studded belt was wrapping her waist, she had sparkling earrings and heeled ankle boots on and she was constantly caressing her hair.

How could a girl like that be friends with Sarah? She was her exact opposite...

"Guys?" Sarah interruped Maya's thoughts "what pizza do you want?"

It took a while for Maya to realize what the question was.
"Oh! I'll have frankfurter pizza".

"I'll have a margherita".

Sarah kept speaking on the phone, while Karina focused her attention on Maya.
"So you two are in the same class, aren't you?.

"Yep...what about you? How did you meet her?".

"Same athletics course".

Out of the blue, Sarah threw herself on the couch between Maya and Karina.
"Sooo? How's it goin'? Are we socialising a bit? Oh, the pizza will be here in about half an hour, so, in the meanwhile, I'll go laying the table".

Sarah got up from the couch, followed by Maya.
"We'll give you a hand".

After nearly half an hour, the pizza got delivered and it was gone after less than fifteen minutes.
The girls washed the cutlery and the glasses, then they headed to the living room and switched the television on, ready to watch the film.

"What channel is it, Sarah?"

"6...well, I'll go get some junk food before the movie starts!".

Maya was about to sit on the sofa, when she heard Sarah screaming her name from the kitchen. She cast a confused glance at Karina and both of them went to the kitchen, wondering what had happened.

"Maya, I'm an idiot! I forgot to ask for the sheet that you were given in class when I was absent...It's for tomorrow, right?".

"Well...yes".

"Could you give it to me, now?"

Maya thought about it for a while.
"Yeah...yes, I have it in my school bag!" She was about to exit the kitchen, when she suddenly stopped in her tracks "wait...there's only one sheet and I've also written on it...it will be impossible for you to do the exercises".

"Who cares if you don't have it? The worst that can happen is that the professor reports you for discipline" Karina said.

Sarah got an idea: "how about we make a photocopy?".

"With what photocopier?".

"Oh, right...".

"There is one in my parents' office!" Karina realised "it's just a 15-minute walk...we'll cover the answers by sticking some light post-it notes on them, we'll photocopy the sheet and you'll do it while watching the movie".

"Genius!" Sarah exclaimed "let's go, Maya!"

Maya sighed.
"...alright..." they went out of the kitchen "but you should have thought about it earlier...".
