                    *Maihua POV*
  I look at her. She's shocked. Emma screams and drops to the floor. Immediately I go down after her. Taking her in my arms and trying to calm her. "Hey, hey it's ok." She runs out the door and I follow her into her car. We drive to her home and i see cops and ambulance there. She runs out and finds her mom being pushed out on a stretcher. "MOM, NO NO NO MOM!" She runs to the stretcher and drops to her knees.

  Seeing her so upset makes me sad. I didn't even know I was crying till Emma came to me and wipped the tears off. They allow us to go into the ambulance car with them. Emma is laying her head on my lap sobbing. We both sit there crying. When we reach the hospital we are sat in the lobby. I buy Emma a coke and some chips. At this point she's not crying. She's cried so much. They call us to a room and tell us that she was shot in the stomach and bleed to death.

                   *  Emma POV *

  Standing in that room listening to what happened an idea pops into my head. "I know who shot her." Maihua looks at me surprised. We leave and go to the police station and I sit down with a cop. "So you know who shot her?" I shake my head. "Yes sir." The cop gets out a note pad and writes my name on it. "Ok go ahead." I take a deap breath. "My stepdad. When I was young my mom left him because he was toxic. He was a crazy man. He told her that one day she'll regret it. He was texting her the day before saying he knows were she is." The cop looks at me. "Do you know where he could be?" I look at maihua. "We do sir." "We?" I look at maihua. "Me and my girlfriend. "

  He lets me drive the car. Him in the passenger and maihua and anither cop in the back. I take them to a ally way at the outskirts of town. To a small house that looks like a tornado hit it hard. "This was our old house before my mom left him." We get our and maihua grabs my hand. One cop in front of us one behind us.

  "NCPD open up!' The female cop yelled. A tall man opens the door. "Emma?" He says. "Lucus." I say back in a smart attitude. I look at the cops "I know everyone here." We walk in and I see my dad. "Haha your not so slick dad." I say. He stands up and laughs at me. "Wow your smarter than I thought. You found out quick." Out of no where 5 more cops come in. 7 cops and 5 tall men and 1 woman. The woman stands up off the couch. She comes to me and hugs me. "Cops this is Lola Burgins. She's the one who told me my dad did it."

  The cops aim there guns and all 5 men drop to the ground. It took 10 minutes for everyone to get in handcuffs and cars. After all that me and Maihua awive at my house. I grab my clothes and some of my mom's shirts to sleep in. I get her favorite necklace and put it on. Slowly I start to cry then I see a note.

  "Dear Emma and maihua,
         I knew this was going to happen so I wrote this. Do not cry please. Your father told me about this 2 days ago. Please take my necklace and that red dress you've always liked. It'll look good on you. Before you cry just know. I don't want you to cry, I want you to smile. I'm in a better and cleaner place now. Tell maihua there is something for her in the 3rd drawer in the kitchen. Tell her I love her and she's perfect for you. I love you both.

  I fold up the note and get the dress. I tell maihua what my mom said. Maihua starts crying. I go out the stuff in the car and wait for her.

                    *Maihua POV *
  I look where she told me there was a box. With a note on it. It says, "Keep her happy. I want grandkids. Love you." I open the box. Inside is Emma's mom's engagement ring. My years fill with tears. I walk outside and look at the sky. "Thank you." I whisper. I get in the car Emma drives to my house outs her clothes away and we go out for coffee to try and cool things down.

  "Emma I have a question." She looks at me. I get out of my chair and get on one knee. "The thing your mom gave me was her ring. She said to keep you happy and give her grand kids. So Emma will you marry me?" I stand up and look up. "I love you momma." I look back at maihua. I first into tears and yell yes way to many times. The coffee shop was filled with clapping and shouting. Mom's ring fits perfect on my finger. I've always lived her ring. The diamond was a medium size. I sparkled blue and purple in the light. Maihua gets up and kisses me.

             *TIME skip to 8 months later to the bachelorette party*

  I wear the red dress mom gave me. We have a great time partying and dancing. The next day I was getting married wow.
