LOST (A Dance Moms fanfic)

Chapter One

A/N ok I didn't get as many votes and comments as I would like to update but I will update anyway. Enjoy!

Abby's POV

"Ok girls" I called out to my dancers, they all came out of the den chattering away. "Let's start with the pyramid, at the bottom Maddie, yes you did come first at the competition but your attitude was not acceptable. You acted like you expected to win and you were rubbing it in everyone's faces."

Maddie's POV

When Abby said that I was at the bottom of the pyramid I was shocked. Of course I was happy that I won, but I wasn't rubbing it in! I held back the tears. I knew if I cried Abby would call me a baby. One insult is enough for one day. The rest of the pyramid went in a blur. All I can remember was Chloe being at the top and Abby telling us all how good she was. I bet her, fair and square! My mum gave me a sympathetic look as she could see the tears rising up to my eyes.

"Now for the routines" Abby said, "Nia, you will have a Jazz solo, Chloe you will have a lyrical solo. Mackenzie you will be joining us in the group dance. Our group dance this week is a fun, upbeat contemporary dance. Chloe and Paige will be doing a duet." I saw Chloe and Paige smile at each other and looking at their mums happily. I couldn't believe that Chloe was doing three dances and I was doing only one. I thought that I would ask Abby. I took a deep breath and walked up to her.

Abby's POV

All the girls had just started stretching when Maddie came up to me.

I knew that Maddie was upset, I could see her eyes water all through the pyramid. "What's wrong?" I asked, Maddie gave a look saying 'it's obvious' but when I gave her a blank expression she rolled her eyes and kept going. Brave girl, rolling her eyes I front of me. I was about to say something when she started talking.

"Why does Chloe get 3 dances and I only get 1 and I bet Chloe in the last competition?" I looked at Maddie shocked, was she really jealous of another dancer? "Well" I started, "honestly I didn't think you deserved to win, your timing was off, you feet were sloppy, and you face, well you look like a robot, showing no emotion at all. When you start showing me that you haven't lost your dancing talent, you may get back up there."

Maddie's POV

Was I really that bad in my last competition? No, it wasn't my best, but I wouldn't describe myself as a robot! I wanted to go home and cry into my pillow but I knew I had to rehearse for the group dance so I started warming up. We got our places in the dance. Chloe was in the front middle, Kendall and Nia were behind her and my little sister was with Paige and Brooke. I was at the back. Surprise, surprise.

We started learning the dance, not trying to brag but it was way to easy for me. "MADDIE, FOOT!" I heard Abby yell directly at me, ok maybe I was doing something wrong. I corrected my foot and we ran the dance a couple more times. Then it was time for the solo and duet practices. I couldn't sit through those so I asked my mum to go home. Mum gave a quick nod before walking to the car.

"Ok Maddie, what's wrong?" My mum asked, I told her everything and she listened quietly. "Ok" she replied, "we will ask for a private and then we can see what is going on." I nodded.
