"You know, my neighbors are probably thinking that we are insane," she noted as her eyes scanned their quiet neighborhood before taking a sip of her coke.

Jasper shrugged nonchalantly as his legs swung back and forth underneath him. "Let them, they're probably just jealous."

It was weekends already and Jasper decided to drop by with Madelline's favorite foods, seeing as he wasn't that busy and she was free as well. They sat on Madelline's hood with a box of pizza, fries, and a coke. Jasper doesn't really like the taste of the food but he can, however, tolerate the taste of coke, so that was the only thing he got for himself.

"Darling," he softly called her attention. Madelline shifted her eyes towards Jasper, raising her eyebrows to let him know he has her full attention. "I'm gonna bring you to our house tomorrow."

Madelline's eyes widened in surprise. All of a sudden the coke stopped going down, causing her to choke. She began coughing as tears welled up in her eyes, worry rising inside Jasper upon seeing her state. His eyes widened, quickly placing his drink down to soothe her back.

"What?!"

Jasper suddenly grew nervous with her response, he began scratching the back of his neck as he shyly looked away; the grass becoming more appealing than ever.

"Only if you wanted to, of course, but—"

"Jaz," Madelline softly interrupted him. She knew he was getting nervous about her response upon noticing his body language. "It's alright. I was just surprised, but it's an honor to meet your family."

A sigh of relief escaped his lips, easing his worries. He took her hand against his and intertwined it, silently relieved that she was up for it. It wasn't just the fact that he was nervous about her meeting his family; he was nervous because she might be uncomfortable with the fact that she was the only human and she's inside a house full of vampires—not an ideal family meeting.

"What should I bring for your mother though? What do Carlisle likes? Does your siblings want any food? No, wait. They don't eat! Shit," she started panicking beside him at thought of meeting his family.

Jasper couldn't help but laugh at how adorable she was and shook his head with an answer. He wrapped an arm around his shoulders and leaned in to leave a soft kiss on her temple. "Darling, they will accept no matter what you give, okay? Do not fret about it," he reassured her.
