It was a few hours before the ball. (Y/N) had decided on a long, off the shoulder, red ballgown, laced with sequins at the center of the waistline that shortly protruded downwards. As she was prepping herself for the evening she glanced outside to see Jeff pouting in the courtyard below. She rolled her eyes and let her curtain fall. Blocking the view off any peering orbs. She did a dark smokey eye with long eyeliner strokes. A deep crimson lipstick and an elegant fishtail braid completed her look. Then, a soft knock at her door slightly spooked her. "(Y/N) dear, everyone is waiting." She heard slender patiently, yet eagerly announce. She scurried into her dress and took one last glance at herself in the mirror. 'He won't take my happiness. I am beautiful without him. I am free. I am (Y/N) and I will start over. I will find a man worthy of me.' She thought to herself confidently. Finally after her little pep talk she took a corsage with one black and one red rose intertwined together and made her decent down the stairs. As she surfaced to the rest of the pastas and the Slender brothers, most of them gasped in shock and complimented her. The one that stuck out the most however, was Offender. As they met glances, his jaw dropped so low, you'd think it would crash to the floor. (Y/N) Noticed this and blushed crimson. "My dear you look lovely." Slender said approvingly. She chuckled to herself. Offender then bent down to her a kissed her hand tenderly. "My dear, You look tantalizingly gorgeous. She went beat red and thanked him shyly.
Once they were in the ballroom (Y/N) Sat next the the bar, basically just playing with her fingers, not knowing exactly what to do with herself. That is until a familiar face approached her. He handed her a elegant black rose. She smiled at this. She looked up to see offender with a gentle smile pursed on his lips. Darling, why don't you have a little fun?" He asked her smoothly. She chuckled. She arched one of eyebrows up at him. "Oh~? And what did you have in mind?" She asked half seductive, Half jokingly. He was taken aback at her response. He then chuckled noticing the humor lingering in the air. He removed his fedora, and bowed. "May I have this dance, my beautiful aquantance?" She giggled to herself, "But of course." She said as he took her hand and led her to the dance floor. Slender noticed this as did Father, The bothers father. "Well.. would you look at that?" He remarked. Slender shook his head in annoyance. "I don't know what you're complaining about. He's just trying to make sure she has a good time." Father took a breath out. "Maybe.. Or maybe he might-" Slender cut him off with slight anger in his tone. "He wouldn't do that to her. To him she's, Different. He's always respected her, always admired her from afar. Besides, I think they'd make a handsome couple." Father shook his head. "If you insist my child."
The ball went smoothly without any interruptions for at while, that is until Jeffrey tried to break in from the went wing ceiling, slender noticed and excused himself without giving any alarm to anyone. He teleported to the roof catching Jeff off guard. "Sir! I was just-" Slender grabbed him, his tendrils tangling around him, constricting him. "I warned you to stay away tonight, Now you've left me no choice but to suspend you until further notice. "But Offender is just trying to manipulate her!'" Slender sighed annoyed at his response. "Believe me, If it comes to that I will be the one to handle it, besides My brother has nothing put pure intentions with her. He wouldn't dare toy with her unlike you. She has touched all of us with her grace and unending loyalty. Especially him. But you, You lost that right the second you betrayed her. So do Her and myself a favor. Leave. I will summon you when I feel you have learned your lesson." Jeff shook with anger. "But Sir.." Slender lost all control at this point felt that he could vanquish the killer at any moment now, however he restrained himself. "NOW! Do NOT make me repeat myself. As it could be the very end of you." He dropped Jeff with a thud, as he hesitantly did as ordered and left the premises, not to return for some time.
~Later in the ballroom~
Offender and (Y/N) had been dancing, laughing, and enjoying themselves very much so for the last two hours. She turned to him as the last song ended. "Would you like to step outside for a bit?" He looked at her with question. "I don't mind but why? Are you feeling alright?" She chuckled to herself. "No offender i'm fine. I just want to talk to you about a few things, In a less... crowded place." He smiled softly. Thousands of thoughts crossed his mind. One that stuck got to him a bit as they made thier way to the courtyard rooftop. 'No she could never. Not in a million years would she ever.' He stopped that pessimistic train of thought and leaned over the balcony. "Offender.. I want to thank you.." He was puzzled at her sudden gratitude. "My dear, I haven't done anything that the others wouldn't do.." She shook her head. "But you have. You always have been. No matter what shit I was in, you were there for me, when you first met me we clicked so greatly, you always made me feel important. You were there when Jeff wasn't. While we were dating, after he..., and now. I feel this was meant to be a good outcome. I can see clearly. I can finally be myself without him screaming, without wanting to change myself. Offender felt a light blush snaking across his cheeks. He pulled her into a soft and warm embrace. "There is no reason you should have to change. You are perfect how you are. Also, My dear (Y/N) there is not a thing in this world that I wouldn't do for you." She smiled almost teared up at his kind words. At this point they were swaying from the music that could still be heard from downstairs. "Offender.. One more thing." He looked up from where his head had been resting in the crook of her neck. "Yes darl-" He was cut off by her kissing him with passion. His mind was running in circles, his face was ablaze. He thought it might be due to her recent breakup, but no one, not even (Y/N) could fake passion like that. Slowly he cupped her cheek in one hand and the small of her back in another. After they broke away, they both laughed and spent the rest of the evening dancing, laughing and enjoying each other's presence.
