I awoke in the morning after a shit nights sleep remembering all the bad things that's happened to our company since we were first deployed. Sighing I made myself get up and go to the shower and get freshened up before breakfast. After that I got dressed and made my way to the mess hall and had my last talk with my first friend since I arrived here. "I'll see you around man, next time I come to Mistral, I'll come down to Windstone as well." I promised to Jacob. "I'll hold you to that my friend, until next time." He said holding out his hand for a handshake which I gladly returned and began moving back to my room. Once inside, I put my beret, the Australian army one, back in my pack. I then took off my shirt to roll up my sleeves, it looked like it was going to be a hot day today. I then put what I needed back into my pockets tucked in my shirt and put on my chest rig, pack and finally helmet on and grabbed my rifle before walking out with the bed sheets and towel I used to put it into one of the many laundry bags in the hallways.

I walked over to the guy driving the truck filled with supplies I helped earlier and asked if he was willing to give me a lift to Mistral. "Of course I was planning on going there myself today. Do you need a ride back?" He asked. "No, I'll be heading to Vale once I get there." He smiles and nods. "well, safe travels my friend." He told me as he got into the drivers seat. "I've got my usual gunner today, he'll be on the gun most of the time." He told me. "Good to know." I said simply before sitting in the passengers seat.

We made it there without any hassle from bandits and said out goodbyes as he set off to go sell his things and I went off to the equivalent of an airport here. Finding it after looking at signs and maps of Mistral, at about 1000. Finding the flight I was looking at earlier which costs 400 lien on an Orca airship, whatever the fuck that is, with only light meals and no movies. I sighed at that. "The hardest choices require the strongest wills." I chuckled to myself at that reference and made my way over to the flight... fucking... person. Who smiled at me while asking for what flight I wanted to be on politely. I must've been intimidating because I saw the colour drain from her face as I walked up, must be my weapons and maybe the burns and scars on my arms. Another bad memory that I don't want to bring up. "Hi, I would like the thir-one o'clock flight to Vale please." Catching myself from using 24 hour times, I spoke to her as politely as I could. She just smiled and said. "Of course sir, I just need you to sign a declaration and put your weapons and anything you want to put in cargo on the conveyor belt." She said politely again. "She was trained to do that. But you can't speak, you were trained to kill." I thought this in the midst of me placing my pack, with my rifle, magazine and ammunition out and uncocked, strapped to the side of it with my helmet and my pistol inside it with my bayonet and KA-BAR on my chest rig. I took my aus army beret out again to be in proper uniform while unrolling my sleeves and untucking my shirt. Finally, the last thing I did was put my SPR in my pack as well, I don't think I'll be needing it for a five hour flight. "One last thing sir, I need to see an identification before payment." She said. I said nothing back and began digging into my left breast pocket for my wallet. Finding it, I pulled out the piece of black cloth and inside pulled out my army ID card and handed it to her. She examined it for a moment before smiling and handing it back to me. "Thank you sir, you can pay here." She said holding out I card reader. I pulled out my four one hundred lien cards and scanned them each. She then printed out something then handed it to me, upon inspection, it was a boarding pass with my name, age and other information on it. Putting it in my  pocket, I walked to customs to get it over with before everyone else decided to come through and create a huge line. I got customs over with while I had to get scanned multiple times and empty everything in my pockets but I got through it and went to get a feed before getting on the flight. I decided to get a cheeseburger from one of the burger places here. It was pretty good and I decided to wait out the rest of my time finding an adapter for my phone charger. That was a fucking mission but I did manage to find an adapter for the USB cord and was able to charge my phone before the flight.
