The alarm clock rang on my bedside table putting an end to my dreams. A new miserable day of school waited for me. What awful thing would happen to me today?  Trip and fall in the hallway? Get a answer wrong in class? The list could go on and on.

I got up out of bed greeted by rain. Yep this was going to be a bad day alright. I grabbed a purple top and black jeans from my wardrobe and went into my master bathroom to shower.  The hot water felt amazing against my ice cold skin. I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around me getting dry then drying my hair. I then got dressed and straightened my dark brown hair. I went and grabbed my purple sunnies from my dresser wasn’t like I needed them but I wanted to look good.

I went down to the kitchen and got a muesli bar to go.

“You ready to go yet?” A whiny voice asked who else would it be besides my mother. I nodded my head and grabbed my phone and headphones.

I walked out to the car and sat in the back to avoid eye contact with my mother. I plugged in my headphones so we wouldn’t have to talk. I didn’t have a…great conversation with her. My father had left her five years ago and it was pretty obvious why. She was a gold digger all she cared about was her money didn’t even care about her own child.

My thoughts were interrupted when my phone got a message.

Sierra

Get your ass here now I have a surprise for you!

Love Lola xoxo

I typed back

I’m on my way right now I’ll be there in five minutes!

Love Sierra xoxo

I knew the surprise wasn’t going to be big maybe a new bag she bought or top.

The car parked infront of the school and I got out. I was about to go to my locker but my mum started talking.

“Sierra-“ I cut her off.

“Yeah bye” I said and headed off to my locker.

Lola was already there waiting for me. Her black hair bounced as she walked towards me.

“Ready for your surprise!” she said excited.

“Ready as I’ll ever be…” I replied.

“Well…a source of mine told me there’s a new guy coming today and he is in our history class which we have first!”

“And how does this affect me?” I asked.

“Mr Laton wants you to show him around”

Oh wow I thought.

We walked to history class and Lola told me everything she knew that you would think she was a stalker. Apparently he was British and he moved from London all the way to Australia because his parents thought it would be good for him.

We made it to history class and we sat in the back. I was reading my notes on world war one when I heard someone walk into the classroom. I looked up and saw a stunning boy with gorgeous blonde hair and green eyes he was tan as well not what you would expect for someone who came from England.

“Sierra could you come here for a minute” Mr Laton called.

Lola winked at me as I walked up to the desk.

“Sierra this is Austin he just moved here and I was wondering since you already finished your report that you could show him around”

“Oh sure Mr Laton”

I walked out of class and Austin followed me. It felt awkward showing someone around and having no Idea what to say. I showed him all the classrooms where the bathrooms were and upstairs and then I showed him outside. I sat on a bench and he sat next to me.

“So your names Sierra right?” he asked me he sure had a nice accent. “I must say you are very attractive” A smirk formed on his lips and I couldn’t help but blush.

I managed to mumble a thank you.

“Would you like to sit with me and my friends at lunch” I asked him actually wanting him there for some unknown reason there was just something about him that I seemed to like.

“It would be a pleasure to sit with you at lunch Sierra” the way he said made me laugh and he smiled at me.

We walked back to history and he told me about England a little bit but he didn’t talk about his family it must be a touchy subject for him.

When we got back to history he came and sat with me and Lola at the back of the room. Lola was staring at him intently seeming to forget that he was meant for me and not for her. Austin seemed to know even though he was looking straight ahead. It made me smile as well.

History passed and I told Austin to meet us at lunch. Lola waited till we got to my locker to ask about him.

“Tell me everything!” She demanded.

“We talked a bit he seems to be a nice guy” what an understatement that was.

“You like him!”

“No I don’t but even If I did he still wouldn’t go out with me”

“He was staring at you the whole time” she said trying to win me over.

“No you were staring at him the whole time Lola!”

Before she could start an argument the bell rang so I headed to drama class.

We were just preforming duologues so I partnered up with my friend Jason I told him about Austin and he told me that he would get himself and the guys to hang out with him so that he would become a part of our group.

The bell rang and I headed outside after putting my books away and saw Jason already talking to Austin what a legend that guy was I would have to thank him.

Austin ran up to me and sat next to me.

“Cool friends” he said.

“Wait till you get to know them and you’ll change your mind” I told him.

“You are very amusing Sierra” I looked into his eyes and was seduced by him. He was perfect I knew him two hours and I was already in love with him but I didn’t know what was to come and if I knew back then I would have ran for my life.
