Jungkook lead a strange but happy life. He had millions of fans supporting him, his family who he finally made proud, the make up noonas who despite barely talking to him were there before and after every concert ready to congratulate and shower him with praise, the stylists who always complimented how he pulled off outfits, the manager who, despite being tough was always there in the end to help him out of whatever trouble he got himself into and, of course, he had his 6 hyungs.
Jungkook didn't know what would have happened to him if he hadn't had them. They were always there for him, always helped him, comforted him when he needed it and leaving him alone when he wanted them to. They knew him like the back of their hand.
As a teen, Jungkook's life wasn't normal. He had been a trainee ever since he was 14 years old and couldn't really make any friends. He barely showed up to school and when he did it was a lonely experience. Everyone had their established friend groups and Jungkook was the odd one out. Learning to be social and how to interact with other people, especially people his age was something you learned in school. But with the maknae barely physically showing up to school, his social development suffered quite a bit. It's why he was so awkard around women, he had never learned how to talk to them. He only had experience with men, or more specifically, his 6 Hyungs.
They had been the only constant in his life. Dance vocal or rap coaches were replaced, other trainees came and went, but the six men he now shared his career with were always there for him. The eldest, Kim SeokJin, practically raised him. He had taken the younger under his wing and helped him grow into the young man he was this day. He was like an older brother to him, they all were. They could joke and laugh with eachother, they made unforgettable memories together, they achieved things they never thought they could, but they also shared tears, they shared their pain with eachother, talked about their struggles, their insecurities, they grew incredibly close to eachother.
Even thought Jungkook's life was very lonely, he had 6 friends, 6 hyungs, he wouldn't trade for anything in the world. They made him feel less alone and Jungkook felt like he had gained so much more than he lost.
Over the years Jungkook had grown more comfortable in himself, he had begun going to the gym and grew more into his body. He also grew more confident in himself and his hyung's couldn't be more proud watching their maknae grow up. But at the end of the day, he still sought the comfort of his older brothers. They made him feel safe not only physically but also emotionally.
"What are you watching Maknae?" Jimin fell down on the couch next to the younger singer, ruffling his hair.
Jungkook whined while smacking Jimin's hand away, pouting while trying to fix his hair but he couldn't hide the smile that slowly crept on his face. "Jin-hyung and Namjoon-hyung are late with dinner so I was watching 'Witch's Love'"
Jimin hummed, trying to remember what it was about. He vaguely remembered something about three witches owning a restaurant? He was about to continue the conversations but seeing Jungkook's eyes light up when the episode resumed made him rethink that decision. Leaning back into the couch, Jimin grabbed Jungkook's legs and laid them on his lap. Massaging his feet he saw Jungkook slowly relax and the tension leaving his shoulders. Good, the maknae had been way too stressed.
Soon Namjoon-hyung and Jin-hyung came back home, bags of take out in their hands. Removing Jungkook's feet from his lap, he stood up to go and help the older to unpack the food and lay the table.
"Jungkook-ah, dinner time"
"Five more minutes hyung! The episode is almost done."
Jin sighed but decided to go get the other members first before trying to lure Jungkook away from his drama with the promise of food.
Standing up when the credits began rolling, Jungkook stretched, letting out a yawn. Schedules had been very hectic these past few weeks, they were lucky enough to have a free evening tonight. Normally schedules ran until 10 in the evening, some training had even lasted until 2 in the morning.
Right when Jungkook was about to turn around, the news began. Hearing the presenter read through all the different topics they would discuss, a frown fell on his face. One of the topics was the recent serial killer who had shown up a few months ago. The police had no idea who was comitting all these crimes. There was no specific victim profile, the murder weapons differed, there were never any witnesses, until now.
Jungkook didn't understand how someone could hurt, let alone murder another person. And to do it multiple times? He just didn't get it. He liked action movies and sometimes he even preferred the villains over the heroes, but that was in fiction. In real life, he couldn't help but hate that man already. Hearing how he murdered parents and a 14 year old right in front of a 5 year old's eyes, purposefully traumatising the poor child, disgusted him. The pain, sorrow and anguish the child must be going through, and for what?
"Thanks to the child's description police were able to make a sketch of the suspe-"
"JUNGKOOK!"
The maknae jumped hearing his hyung's frustrated yell, turning around to face Jin, he didn't see the police sketch appear on the screen.
"I told you dinner was ready, come on"
Turning off the television Jungkook followed Jin to the kitchen and before he knew it he was laughing and joking around with Taehyung, the serial killer pushed to the back of his mind. All the members went to bed soon after eating dinner so they would be well rested for tomorrow's schedules. The next morning they all had to rush from schedule to schedule and soon Jungkook completely forgot about the murderer. If only this didn't come back to bite him in the ass ...

FanfictionJungkook's laughter filled the room and the man grinned. The maknae of one of the most popular groups would be an amazing challenge. After all, trying to kill someone surrounded by guards and protective hyungs 24/7 would be the perfect test for him.
