Warm Feeling

(Y/N) POV

Another day at school and today is pretty much the same. Well, I did joined dodgeball and I ended up losing the battle because I'm not that interested. Miyuki just stared at me with worries along PE.

During lunch break, me and Miyuki was eating at a nearby bench under the sakura tree. As we were eating, Miyuki decided to ask me more question.

Miyuki: Umm... (Y/N).

(Y/N): Hmm? What is it, Miyuki?

Miyuki: I was wondering. Why won't you be energetic to fight your opponent during dodgeball today? Are you an athletic kid?

(Y/N): 'I looked at her with a bored expression'. Nah. I'm not that interested in any kind of sports. I'm not even active in them. I just shrugged it off and pretend it's nothing.

Miyuki: Wow! You're really lazy, are you?

(Y/N): Yup. That's who I am. Just a lazy student and a gamer.

Miyuki: Mhmhm~ Well, I won't bother about it though. Here, say "ahh"~ 'She used her wooden spoon to feed me some of her food'.

(Y/N): Ahh...

Like usual, the class after lunch break is nothing really special. Just a useless time spent with the teacher.

Me and Miyuki decided to go to take a walk after school at town today. Miyuki already asked her mother's permission to go with me. Today, we decided to go to the library to read some books. Since Miyuki wasn't familiar with her new home, I helped her to know which way to go to certain buildings.

(Y/N): Here we are.

Miyuki whispered at me. We found an empty seat to read books.

Miyuki: Okay then. I'll go search for a book to read.

(Y/N): And I'll just sit around and daydream.

Miyuki: 'She whispershouted'. What?! No! You have to read a book! You can't just sit around and do nothing! I'll find a suitable book for you, okay?~

(Y/N): *sigh* Fine. Go ahead.

Miyuki: 'She smiled'. Wait here~

After a few moments of searching for books, Miyuki comes back with a few stacks of book.

Miyuki: Here, (Y/N). I got you a perfect book for you~

She then showed me a book with the cover said, "Tips and Tricks of FPS Games That You Should Know".

(Y/N): Cool! Thanks, Miyuki!

Miyuki: Ehehe~ You're welcome~ Now, let's begin reading, shall we?~

The next few hours was filled with literally us only reading books. Luckily, the book that Miyuki picked for me caught my interest as a gamer. Meanwhile, Miyuki was reading some literature and love novel. Well, I'm not going to say that I don't like novel, but I literally don't have any interest in those things.

(Y/N): 'I called her name'. Miyuki?

Miyuki: 'She stopped reading and looked at me'. Hmm? What is it, (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Just asking, but... are you a book lover?

Miyuki: 'She speak in a low tone'. Well, yeah. I mean, I do read books to fill my free time. Sometimes, I do read love novels because of the feeling of the writer was filled inside of their novel, their attractive phrase when the readers read them and also the well arranged storyline between the characters whether if it's main character or side character.

(Y/N): Ohhhh...I see. Okay then. Glad to know.

Miyuki: What about you? Do you read books too?

(Y/N): Well, not that often. If the book caught my interest, then I'll read it.

Miyuki: 'She nodded'. Alright then.

She continued reading her love novel and I continued searching for the secrets in FPS video games.

It was around 5:00 p.m. and it's about time for us to go buy some groceries. We head to the grocery store and buy some food and drink supply.

After I helped carrying some of Miyuki's grocery, we once again standing at a nearby empty grassfield under the sunset.

Miyuki: Hey (Y/N).

(Y/N): 'I looked at her hesitantly as I blushed a bit because of how innocent she is'. Yes, Miyuki? Do you need anything?

Miyuki: No. I don't want anything from you. It's just that... I need to tell you something.

(Y/N): 'I smiled'. What is it?

She was really nervous to say the thing she wanted to, but I just let her to calm down until she finally said it.

Miyuki: I don't know how I should say this, but... I think I kind of like you so much.

(Y/N): 'I was shocked'. EEEEEH?!
W-Why all of a sudden?

Miyuki: I don't know, but I really like you... as my best friend. This warm feeling inside of me... I feel like there's butterfly in my stomach. This is what I feels everytime I'm always with you.

(Y/N): I...see... Haha...hahahaha...

Miyuki: (Y/N), I'm serious! >~< This is not something for you to joke around with!

(Y/N): Okay! Okay! I'm sorry. 'I scratched my head a bit'. Well, to be honest with you, I also like you. As a friend, of course.

Miyuki: 'She looked at me surprised'. Really? You mean it?

(Y/N): 'I spoke in a serious tone'. Yes, Miyuki. I do, and I promise I'll always keep you safe and happy from any danger.

Miyuki: Promise? 'She give me the puppydog eyes again'. You will do that?~

(Y/N): Yeah. I will. 'I then give her a heartwarming smile'.

Miyuki: Aww~ (Y/N)-kun! Thank you. ^-^ 'She then hugged me again and buried my face between her flat chest again'. So warm~ Ehehe~

I hugged her back as a friendly gestures. Don't worry, even if I get friendzoned, at least that Miyuki is getting more friendlier and caring than before.

(Y/N): 'I get released from the hug'. Alright then. I'll be leaving.

Miyuki: 'She smiled'. Take care!

(Y/N): I'm a grown up strong boy, you know?

Miyuki: Ehehe~ You and your teasing words sometimes.

We waved each other and begin heading back to our houses.

Miyuki POV

The night was full moon with so many sparkling stars under the dark blue sky and chirping crickets. I decided to write something on my diary about what happened today.

Dear Diary,

Today was amazing! (Y/N) was really kindhearted enough to walk me around the town so that I won't get lost. We also did read some books at the town's library and it was really fun reading. Today also makes me happy to be with (Y/N). I told him that I like him as a best friend.

But... even if I did confess my like to (Y/N), I still feels like it's not enough. Like there's something in my heart aching so much about what did I said to (Y/N). I always wonder...

I write like a few lines of three dots.

... am I falling for (Y/N)? I mean, he's the kindest person that I met and we also did create our own wholesome moment. It makes me happy to be with (Y/N). Anyway, that's all I have to write now for today.

I closed my diary and fell asleep for that night.
