"MOM!!!", Running down the stairs screaming ,"why didn't you wake me up!! " I yelled , " Annie , chill i just woke up myself " she answered in an irritated tone , " Mum its my first week at my new job and I'm LATE again " i pulled a bagel and stormed out of the house grabbing my bike and going as fast as i could.
I'm Annie , I'm 18 years old working in a diner , i didn't apply for collage cause well, we couldn't afford it since my dad left 5 years ago . Im short haired , tanned yet white ( don't ask ) brown eyes that match my hair , i wouldn't consider myself fat or thin but i got all the parts i should have , oh ! And I'm short ! .
I arrived at the diner late as usual , " Annie , again?? Its 3 days in a row kid !" Chris yelled , Chris is my boss if it wasn't for my dad being his best friend i wouldn't get the job ," Chris I'm so sorry , mum didn't wake me and i kinda maybe lost track of time " i told him apologetically " one more kiddo , one more time and you're out!!" Pointing at the door while staring deeply into my eyes , " you cant get rid of me , i know you love me " i said walking towards the changing rooms the one with the *only employee* , i'v know Chris for forever he practically raised me , he was there when my dad wasn't, so I'm used to him and i know he wont take my attitude to heart .. He is the most nicest people i know , i changed into my red" Chris's diner " apron and walked to Danny , i met her when i started working here and she was so helpful unlike Maxy , trust me she can get as bitchy as you want . " psst, Danny ?" I whisper to her .. " what?" , " whats wrong with him ? Im always late, whats with him today ?? " i ask curiously " i don't know .. He probably got into it with his wife , they've been at it for two weeks now " i nod waiting for her to continue but she just ignores me and walks aways , " damn , with violet? " i tag behind her .. " who cares kid , get to work " when a crowd of girls interrupt her " heeeeeyy" they all shout in unison .. I introduce to you my crazy best friends .. " shshshs.. I swear You guys are going to get me fired one day ." Laughing it off they sit in their usual spot as i walk to them ready to take there order , they always order the same thing but since Chris is always watching i have to go through that shitty procedure , " so , what can i get you guys ? " i ask. " i want my usual " randy speaks after staring at the menu for quite some time , randy is the youngest of us , so she is still in school in her senior year she lives next to Alex ,so Alex drops her and picks her up again , but they come here everyday .. Its a ritual .. " my usual fruits , please " Alex said. She has a thing against eating in the morning its always her usual " how can you guys eat bacon and pancakes in the morning ...." Hannah cuts her off " Oh shut up Alex , i want my pancakes with whipped cream on top " glaring at Alex . I love how after all these years our relationship grows stronger , i laugh at their stupidity .. " for you Nora ? Ur usual too? " i ask .. " no, thank you just water please " she added . " coming right up " i head back to the counter to give Diego our chef the order . Hannah and Nora and Alex were accepted in different collages , so they leave in 6 months , since they're leaving we're trying to spend as much time as we can together . We've been together for almost forever , they complete me .. But still there is that one thing that is missing inside of me .. Honestly , i've never been in love so i don't know how it feels , i have crushes but never in love , you can just say that maybe I'm waiting for love to come by itself .. I don't think it'll ever will...
Waiting in the corner for the girls order when Danny nudges me " kid, i need to go out the back , sam is here .. Could you cover me at table 4?" She says pleading.. " i don't know how to say no, so .. " sure " i give her a warm smile . Sam has been showing up everyday since they got together 3 months ago , and each time he comes i have to cover for her , she hates asking for Maxy's help , so , I'm the only one left ..
As i was heading to table 4 that had 4 boys waiting for me ..i haven't seen them around must be new in town but surprisingly they look familiar somehow , i shake that thought off when my eyes meet one of them stealing me from my thoughts , all i can think of is how can he be so beautiful? So gorgeous .. He is tall black hair , black eyes , his six packs were showing of his white shirt , as i reached them i tried to get back to my tenses *just suck it up Annie and breathe* my inner mind is yelling at me .."hi, I'm Annie and i'll be your waiter this morning so, what can i get you ? " i ask ,not daring to look into the handsome one's eyes , i could feel him staring at me his eyes pierced through me .. " i want eggs and bacon on the side " one of the guys steals my focus , " i want you " one of them said as he tried to grab my thigh .." Yah! I don't thinks so , your order please ? " i answer back at him and move away .. " what Lucas is having " he replies with a frown on his face , " me too " the third guy added to the order , and only the handsome one left so i looked at him gave him a warm welcoming smile and said " and you? " i said nervously as he stares at me , it feels like he knows he makes me weak in the knee's ," pancake and bacon on the side .." He said with his sexy voice , its like he knows the truth ,"coming right up" as i was walking .."stop" i hear a voice behind me , i turn around to see the handsome one staring at me about to say something , " let the other waitress get our meals " and with that , it felt like my heart was stabbed with a knife .. Call me crazy , call me over dramatic , with a simple smile, i replay with " sure.." I walk away from the table heading to diego , i don't know why i felt like this , i just met the guy .. Barely even met , how can he have this affect on me ?
