Chapter 30

As Ulquiorria was flying towards the hollow it suddenly vanished and reappeared behind Ulquiorria slashing his back. Ulquiorria suddenly felt winded and lost his balance and began to fall backwards "You'll never defeat me" the hollow laughed Ulquiorria began to feel angry with himself for not getting to her quicker. He flew upwards towards the hollow summoning his arrow he secretly got the hollow away from Ray to distract it hopefully this should work. "Are you giving up Ulquiorria" the hollow said surprised as Ulquiorria kept flying backwards and the hollow following "You'll see" Ulquiorria said smirking.




When Ulquiorria was far away enough he was sure he wouldn't hit Ray with his arrow he pulled out the arrow and held it so the hollow could fully see it. "Interesting what does that thing do" the hollow asked "You'll find out" Ulquiorria said throwing the arrow straight at the hollow their surroundings began to explode which made a small part of hell quake and rumble. A few explosions later Ulquiorria looked around but couldn't see it anywhere had he defeated it "Nice try but you seem to keep forgetting that your attacks will never hit me" the hollow laughed appearing in front of Ulquiorria.




Ulquiorria was livid he thought that would work how did the hollow manage to escape. "Ulquiorria watch out" Ichigo shouted flashing stepping towards him in his hollowfied form as soon as Ichigo reached the hollow Ulquiorria was shocked "Ichigo your turning into a hollow" Ulquiorria said " I know its hell some how this atmosphere is making my power stronger" Ichigo explained "Where's Renji and Rukia are they alright" Ulquiorria asked.




"Their back fighting the gate keepers they thought you might need some help defeating this thing so I came" Ichigo said "I don't think you should be fighting in your condition it could be dangerous" Ulquiorria said worriedly "I know but we have no other choice I know I can defeat this hollow" Ichigo said "No its to dangerous stay out of this" Ulquiorria said becoming angrier "Do you want to save Ray or not if you do then let me fight I can handle it" Ichigo said "Are you sure you can fight without turning into a full hollow" Ulquiorria asked " I know I can" Ichigo said.




When Ichigo began to fight the hollow. Ulquiorria quickly flash stepped away so the hollow didn't notice. Ulquiorria then flew back over to the skeleton and swooped down to where Ray was lying and picked her up she looked weak and lifeless in his arms "Ray your safe now we just have to kill the hollow" Ulquiorria said leaning down and kissing her forehead. Ray then began to jerk around in Ulquiorria's arms "Ray what's wrong are you alright" Ulquiorria asked worriedly "He's draining me" Ray said weakly opening her eyes "What do you mean he's draining you" Ulquiorria asked "The hollow wants my power and is slowly draining it from me my spiritual pressure can't take much of this I need to be somewhere where there's plants" Ray said quietly.




"There's no plants in this place just lava" Ulquiorria shouted angrily "Over the hill its blue grass I should be able to summon them from the blue grass" Ray explained Ulquiorria nodded and then flew over to the blue field with Ray in his arms. When they landed Ray looked at Ulquiorria then said "I'm not sure if this will work but if it does I should get my powers back" "What will happen if it doesn't work" Ulquiorria asked "I will die from having my spiritual pressure being drained and when I come back I will be bound in chains forever and won't be able to return from hell" Ray explained with sadness and worry in her eyes.




"Please Ray don't do it" Ulquiorria said shaking. "We have to take this risk this is the only way we can defeat hell we have to try" Ray said "Please be careful I can't lose you" Ulquiorria said leaning down and pressing his lips to hers the kiss they shared was a sad and scared one they didn't know if they'd get out of this alive. As soon as Ulquiorria pulled away Ray looked up at him and then back at the blue grass " PLANTS GROW" Ray shouted hoping this would work.
