Previously

After they finished dinner Mariella fell asleep on the couch so Armando took her upstairs.

After he tucked her in he got a call from his 3rd in command Marcelo.

"Parlare" he said in a calm voice

"Don , abbiamo ricevuto le informazioni dalla spia. Si scopre che lo stronzo lavora per la mafia Russa."

"Vedo. Che cosa vogliono i russi con nou..?"

"Dice che Vladimir Ivanov dice ciao vecchio amico"

After hearing what Marcelo said , he thanked him and they said their goodbyes.

Sighing softly he pinched the bridge of his nose and asked himself what does that son of a bitch want from him.

He went to bed with thoughts of Vladimir immediately forgotten and immediately replaced with that of the beautiful girl in his arms.

"Soon. You will finally learn the truth mio Dio."

A week and a half has passed and our stay at the beach house has come to an end.

We did a lot of fun stuff in the last few days of our vacation but I noticed something was off about Armando and Mark.

They were more alert especially when we went palaces like eating out , the beach , or to the town nearby.

I asked him if he was okay and he said that everything is all good. I know it wasn't but I wasn't going to push him.

I understood that he didn't want to talk about it but I knew he would eventually so I let it go.

We were ready to go home so we called for the drivers. I don't know why we needed to travel in two different cars but I said nothing.

The drivers arrived and we packed everything into the cars .

When we were sure we had everything we were all set to go.

On the road I got a call from my father, " Hey dad, how your trip?" I asked enthusiastically

"It's going good sweetheart, how's your stay at the beach house?"

"It was amazing but we're on our way back home right now"

It was sold for a few second and I asked "dad is everything okay?"

"Uh yeah hon but when you get home your mother and I need to talk to you about something okay. We will probably be there by the time you arrive"

I sensed that whatever my parents were going to tell me was serious because my dad never gets nervous and that's what scared me.

"Okay but I thought you and mom said your coming in a month , is everything okay?"

"Yeah everything is okay hon , don't stress yourself okay , oh I have to go our plain is living in 3minutes . Safe trip love u bye"

Before I could even respond he hung up.

I put my phone down and noticed Armando was looking at me .

"What?" I asked still confused about the conversation I had with my dad.

"What's wrong baby, is everything okay?"

Instead of answering him I asked " did you know our parents are coming back today?"

Aiyana and Mark were in their own car and the sound proof window was lift up separating us from the driver.

I turned in my seat and faced him. He looked confused and said " no I didn't, they didn't tell me anything. Why?"

"Because my dad called and told me that he had something important to tell me. I don't know why but I have a feeling something's wrong."

"Hey are you okay?" I asked when I noticed he was quiet and had a guilty expression.

It was gone just as fast as it came and I heard him say

"Baby I have something to tell you but I need you to listen to everything I have to say . Please don't hate me after this but I hope that you understand" he said calmly but I saw a hint of nervousness.

"Your scaring me Armando , did you kill someone or something" I joked trying to lighten the mood but stopped when I saw he wasn't laughing.

"Okay I'm listening"

"Remember when I told you we are originally from Italy?"

I gave him a nod and he continued by saying

"Well when I told you we still go there for business, I didn't tell you what exactly it is that I do."

"And what exactly is it that you do" I asked in a whisper

"I'm part of the mafia"

I froze as soon as I heard those words.
