I opened the stall door. There was a beautiful dark bay filly staring at me from the corner of the stall. she looked at me curiously, her dark mane down to her shoulder. I just about fainted from holding my breath to long. "hey girl." I said hoping that she would step forward. "whats your name?" I said. I looked behind me and saw a sheet of paper hanging up on the door. I pick it up there was a picture of a dark bay filly on the front.

Name: Moth to a flame

Breed: Irish sport horse

There is a whole list of information about the little mare. I am astonished surely I couldn't be training such a fine horse. I slowly walk up to her, she was shy but a little curious  in me. I reached my hand to the little mare, she curiously stretched her neck out and sniffed my hand. "so girl what should we call you eh" I say admiring her. "Well i'm not calling you moth" I chuckled. "Your really pretty aren't you, and you know it" I smiled hopefully. "how bout Flicka"

-------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up the next morning exited for the day ahead. I had learned that Mackenzie had a friendly bay gelding called Arion. Ellie got a grey gentle little mare called Pixie. The new girl Maddie I think it was?, had gotten a curios pinto mare named Roxy. James had gotten a quiet chestnut gelding called Arrow. It seems I have the difficult one of the bunch!

I quickly pull on a coat and some muddy gum boots and head outside. After giving a quick hello to stormy I head over to Flicka's box.

The bay filly was still huddled up in the corner of her box. I open the stall door and pull out a carrot from my pocket and hold it out to her. She has one eye on the carrot the very yummy carrot and one on me. She looks like she is about to burst. She takes on wary step forward and another and stretches out and takes the carrot from my hand. While she was crunching down on the goodie I take a small step forward and reach my hand out. Flicka who had just finished her orange treat sniffs my hand and wickers joy. I smile happily, but this is not the end of the day I still have to train her!
