¨Lila¨ something squealed behind me. Of coarse i'd recognise that over exited voice anywhere. Mackenzie. She looked like she was on a sugar high she was so exited. ¨ So is it true that we are training at your place¨ i nodded in reply she squealed in delight. She checks her watch ¨we gotta go¨ She grabs my wrist and dragged me up to the loft were we have our club meetings. everyone was sitting anxiously on bales of hay waiting for the fun to begin. Immediately after me and Kenzie sat down Mr Williams came in.

¨Hello everyone, I'm sure everyone is all here for the same reason.¨ ¨The colt challenge¨He continued ¨Now we have assigned you with your partners you will receive a peace of paper with what stable block your horse is in.¨ ¨If not your horse will be going to Lila's yard and you will train it there.¨ understood¨ He said as though he was a military leader explaining a battle strategy. I looked around the room everyone was staring at me and chattering to there neighbour. blushing I looked down. ¨ Melanie hand out the papers¨ Mr Williams said. (Melanie is the head groom at the pony club) She did as he said and past little squares of paper to the nervous teens. when everyone had a piece of parchment in their hands Mr Williams instructed that they go get their horses.There were 5 people left in the room,Including Me and Mackenzie. ¨Now what is going to happen is i'm going to drive you all to park farm and then you can get to work.¨ ¨Does everyone understand?¨ everyone nodded anxiously.

¨Hello,I am Mr whittle but you can call me John.¨ ¨I am sure I will get to know you all by the end of this challenge¨ my dad says greeting us. ¨Your horses are already In their stalls I will show you where to go. We started walking to the normally empty stalls.¨ Okay,lets see the horses.¨ My dad took out a piece of paper ¨James?¨ he looked among us. A tall brown shaggy haired boy stepped forward to greet my dad. ¨Hello¨ my dad boomed. ¨Hi¨ James said shyly. ¨You will be in this stall.¨ My dad pointed to the first brown rusty stall in the row, James headed over to the stall door trying to hide his excitement. My dad looked down to the scrunched piece of paper again. He looked up ¨Ellie ¨A shy girl stepped forward trying not to meet  my dads eyes  ¨yes sir¨she said she said in the tiniest voice possible. ¨Well young lady"your horse is in here.¨ My dad said smiling. She practically skipped with joy over to the faded stall. ¨Mackenzie your up.¨ My dad said. Her cheeks puffed up looking like she was about to let out the biggest squeal of  joy, but she didn't she breathed talking to herself muttering to stay calm. Their was only me and another girl i did not recognise. "Is your name Maddie?" my dad asked coolly. "yes" she replied confidently. "your stall is here" My dad said politely. She strode over to the stall looking right at home. Me and my dad walked towards the next door over "This is your stop lils" he said. I half smiled and breathed. I walked maybe 3 strides witch seemed to be forever and then stopped at the door. I wish i knew it would be the most important moment of my life.
