I expected to wake up to a hung-over Skip lying next to be, but he had gone. I looked around and I found a note on my cabinet that said;

 ‘Anna, I’m not leaving because I don’t want to wake up with you next to me. I was happy when I saw you. Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone if you don’t. And I know we didn’t have sex. –Skip’

I smiled as I read it. Daniel was alright, when he wanted to be. And that was the problem, he never wanted to be. Well not to me anyway. I walked down stairs to find everyone but Beau already up. “Morning slut” Jai called over from the kitchen. Luke was already stuffing his face with cereal. I hated that cereal. We only bought it for them when they stayed because they all seemed to love it. I walked to the cupboard and got my healthy bran cereal out. Skip laughed at this “That’s not breakfast, that looks like hamster food.” I shrugged my shoulders “I like it.” They all laughed at this, I didn’t know what was so funny about bran cereal. It was nice. After 30 minutes Luke woke Beau up and the three of them went home. Skip was just about to leave when I said “I think we need to talk…” he nodded and sat down. To my surprise he spoke first “Look Anna, I am so sorry about last night. I shouldn’t have come onto you like that. I shouldn’t have brought up last year, and I shouldn’t have said that I wanted you. I’m sorry.” I knew what he was saying was true but I had one question “What did you mean when you said ‘I want you, just you’?” he shrugged and walked out of my house. Well thanks Daniel, just leave me with more questions.

I think it’s fair to say that things were even worse with me and Skip. We argued every time we saw each other. And that was every day. I was laying on me bed watching Grownups when I got a text from Charlie ‘meet in 5?’ I text back saying I would. When I got there I couldn’t see Charlie, just Skip. I walked over to him and said “You seen Charlie?” he shook his head “Think she’s out with Luke today, you seen Beau?” well thanks Charlie. I shook my head in reply to his question. I rang Charlie “Where the hell are you?” I asked angrily. “Look Anna you and Skip need to sort things out. It’s so annoying when you argue constantly. Oh and tell him that Beau’s not coming to meet him.” And with that she hung up.

“Well looks like it’s just me and you, pal.” I said coldly, “Beau’s not coming; they said that we need to ‘sort things out’.” Daniel grunted, wow no need to be that happy. We just sat awkwardly for a while when I got sick of him. “For fuck sake man Daniel! Why did you say you wanted me, not sex from me, just me? Then not bloody explain it! All I did was ask why you said it and you walked out.”

Daniel stood up so I was looking up at him, wow I really hated being 5”2. “Me? Why did you lead me upstairs to your room, making me think you wanted me? Then you kissed me but pulled away. Yes I said some things I shouldn’t of but then you came back. Why didn’t you push me away when I hugged you? Why the fuck are you teasing me?!” I was shocked by this. I didn’t think I was teasing him. But for some reason I didn’t answer, I just kissed him. God he was a good kisser. His hands went down to my hips and my hands were round his neck. I didn’t want this to end, ever. Then he pulled away. “See what I mean? You won’t even talk to me for the next 3 days probably until we get forced to talk to each other. Then the same thing will just happen again! Why the fuck are you teasing me Anna!” I stood on the bench so I was eye level with him. “I want you Daniel.” I said using his words. He pulled me off the bench so my legs were round his waist. We kissed for ages then he pulled away, again. “Well then, would you like to go out sometime?” He asked smirking “Yes I would thank you. Now I’m going because unlike whores I don’t have sex on the first date” and I walked home smiling.
