She shot out of her seat and shuffled backwards almost instantly. Her face were almost wild with panic but when she realized that it was me, she slowly relaxed.

"D-don't surprise people l-like that," she said, her voice low.

I scratched my neck and said sheepishly, "Sorry."

She stared at me for a few minutes like she was seeing me for the first time. Then she suddenly blushed and looked away. "Where you there for a long time?"

I smirked slightly, "I just arrived but long enough for me to hear that you've got a masked knight."

She pursed her lips, closed her eyes and covered her face with her palms. She was embarrassed.

It's rare getting a reaction from the ghostly girl. Let's cherish this moment.

"Well, will you keep standing there? Your knight awaits you," I teased as I sat down just beside her spot.

She uncovered her face and turned to glare at me. She actually freaking glared at me!

A smile. A blush. A glare. Now, I'm getting somewhere. Oh, that rhymes.

But it startled me though. Her glaring face resembled her father's face a lot. I didn't know if that should make me uneasy or relieved that they are truly related. I doubted he was her father because of their varied personality. Now, the doubt is gone.

Her gaze faltered, maybe remembering she was supposed to be a timid and quiet girl, and she looked away - which was adorable. She dusted invisible dirt off her skirt and mumbled something incoherent under her breath. Then she sat down next to me.

"It's w-weird to see you in a school uniform w-with that mask on," she muttered.

I laughed and said, "You mean it's weird to see that your knight is actually a student and is now here with you?"

She blushed and I knew I hit the right spot. Then she glared half-heartedly at her hands on her lap. "S-stop teasing me or I-I'll stop talking to you."

That made me shut up, with a smile on my face though. Because it's nice to see her pale cheeks now colored. I opened my bag and got my breakfast out, suddenly thankful that I had two of everything. I handed her a sandwich, a triangular gimbap and a carton milk. She eyed it, assessing something.

"Care to have breakfast with me?" I asked.

"Y-you're always feeding me whenever we met, is it because of my name?"

I nearly choke on my saliva. Then I laughed, "No, it just happened that I didn't have breakfast yet. And besides, this is only our second meeting."
