Chapter 2

It was Raven's turn to keep an eye on Beast Boy. He was still out cold from falling asleep in the bay. Raven rolled her eyes.

Who falls asleep while they're drowning? I found him two seconds from dying at the bottom of the bay, and the idiot's out cold, She thought.

Well, at least she could read her book now. Everyone else was away looking for whatever BB had seen in the alleyway and nobody else was in the tower. She reached into her pocket dimension and pulled out...

Nothing.

Oh, that's right! I put Enna Burning away when I was finished and never started anything else. Crap!

She reached in deeper for something, anything, and pulled out her laptop. Well, better than nothing, she thought, opening it and entering the last name of one of her favorite authors. B-R-A-E, she typed.

She held the B key down too long and typed Bbrae on accident. She went back to delete it, but as she did so, she saw something that caught her eye. She clicked on it and went to a fan-fiction site.

"Oh...my...gosh.

                                *                                        *                                        *

Beast Boy closed his eyes against the images. They were to horrible for him to look at, too horrible for anyone to look at. Something forced his eyes open again.

His sister stood before him, tall, terrifying, holding an axe. "Face me, brother," she said "Face me now. I will not be delayed in your death by that half-breed bastard."

"I don't think it counts as an insult if it's true," Beast Boy said.

His sister growled and raised his sword. Beast Boy whimpered.

                                         *                                        *                                    *

Raven tore through fanfic after fanfic. All the same. Beast Boy and her kissing, making out, getting married, having kids, doing... that thing you have to do to have kids. The vase of flowers on the bedside table exploded with a sharp POP, sending shards of glass everywhere. Beast Boy whimpered in his sleep, tearing Raven away from the website momentarily. She hated Beast Boy, hated everything about him, hated his annoying jokes and crooked smile and soft green eyes... his silky hair...

Gah! What am I THINKING?

Beast Boy was annoying. He was a jerk. An idiot. He was lots of other stuff she shouldn't say. She returned to posting nasty comments about "BBRae" fan-fiction.

Wait...why had he whimpered?

She looked up and stretched out her hand to touch his forehead, to enter his mind. She hesitated for a second.

Wait...should I? Maybe I shouldn't...

No. He might die. I need to help.

Raven touched his forehead and entered his dream.

                                                  *                                *                           *

Beast Boy dodged swing after swing, but it felt like he was moving through syrup. It wasn't enough. She knocked him off-balance and kicked him over, holding her axe to his throat.

"Die," she said. "Die as our parents did!" she raised her axe and swung.

"ENOUGH!"

His dream vanished, replaced by an empty blackness. Raven stood before him.

"Rae! Man am I glad to see-"

"Stop. Your mind is weak. You need to rest, Beast Boy, and don't argue with me."

Beast Boy nodded. Raven sighed. "Who was that?"

"My sister," he said.

Raven nodded. "Rest now," she said, and started to leave.

"You look beautiful right now," he called.

The last thing he was aware of was her slapping his psychic face. He grinned and fell into a dreamless sleep.

                                     *                                  *                               *

Raven woke blushing to find a sobbing girl at the other side of the bed.

"What's going on?" Raven asked her. "Who are you?"

The girl straightened up and sighed shakily. "My name is Lillian Joy Logan," she said. "I'm his sister."

Raven slammed her against the wall.

Hey! Better than the last chapter? Worse? Tell me! (only twelve years old here, cut me some slack.)

I know I suck at cliffhangers, but it was the best I could come up with at the moment. I also know it's really short. Sorry.

Just so you know, Raven is only acting so emotionless cuz she's still afraid to feel. This changes later.

I know I said I wouldn't update until I got a comment, but I waited for a few days and never did, and I figured the story might get more readable the further I went, so here we are.

Looking for five comments now. Here's the catch: You can only post one comment.

Until next chapter,
