it didn't take long for tsukki and yamaguchi to become close. obviously, yamaguchi was new and didn't know anyone, and tsukki didn't exactly have many friends. the only people from school he has really spoken too is daichi sawamura, koushi sugawara, and asahi azumane. but they were third years, and didn't have any classes together.

the two started becoming friends the day yamaguchi first came to the school, at lunch. tsukki was sitting alone, as usual, when someone came and sat across from him. he glanced up, and as expected, it was the new kid.

"i like your bento wrap," he said to tsukki sweetly. tsukki glanced down at his bento box, realizing what he was talking about. the fabric wrapped around it was a pastel yellow, with small green dinosaurs printed on it. he felt heat rise to his face as he responded.

"t-thanks.." he muttered.

yamaguchi unwrapped his own bento box and started eating, not really paying any mind to tsukki. he took this as a chance to look closer at the new kid.

upon closer inspection, tsukki realized yamaguchi was... pretty.

for a boy.

he also realized how much his freckles resembled the millions of stars and constellations, and that combined with the light blush among his cheeks was like the cosmos in all it's beauty. to tsukki, it was enthralling.

again, for a boy.

and before he could look away, the boy looked up at tsukki, and they met eyes. he wanted  to look away, but something just wouldn't let him. maybe it was the way yamaguchi's eyes somehow looked like vast galaxies that anyone would get lost in, and for some reason he wanted only himself to be allowed to drown in them. or something.

hopefully it was the latter.

"tsukki."

his voice snapped him out of his trance, and he quickly looked down at his food, awkwardly shoveling some into his mouth to avoid conversation. what was wrong with him? what about yamaguchi was making him act this way? whatever, it doesn't matter. he just has to make it through today and then it'll be the weekend.

"tsukki," he said again.

tsukki looked up, quickly swallowing the ball of rice he had picked. yamaguchi passed him a small slip of paper.

"it's my email address," he said, smiling. "i figured if you wanted to, we could do something this weekend." tsukki shrugged and pocketed the paper.

"maybe," he said, picking up another rice ball.

with perfect timing, the lunch period ended, indicating tsukki had two more periods left before he could go home. he was greatly looking forward to that.

tsukki laid on his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. he couldn't stop thinking about yamaguchi, and quite frankly, he hated it. what was so special about him? he was just... a boy.

but really, the more he thought about it, he realized something.

yamaguchi most definitely not just a boy. there was something about him that was different. maybe it was the way he talked, and how soft it was compared to the brash voices of his other peers, or maybe it was the feeling of being drawn toward him, unable to stop himself from wanting to know more. it was like he wasn't even human.

and now he couldn't stop himself from digging in his pocket for a small slip of paper.
