Mark spent the rest of the morning catching up with his friends and Jaehyun who seemed to busy to talk much and was running about doing various tasks and jobs, he wondered is this what he was like?

"Can I talk to you outside Jae?" Mark asked walking over to Jaehyun who was knee deep in paperwork, Jaehyun looked up at the boy and nodded following Mark outside, the team watched the two leave before staring at each other.

"I wonder what they're going to talk about" Renjun thought out loud, it was just a thought he didn't me at to say it out loud.

"Who cares" Jeno mumbled, Renjun rolled his eyes continuing with the Choi case.

"What's up?" Jaehyun asked shoving her hands into her pockets, Mark stared past her for a second.

"You're right but you're also wrong about Jeno" Mark said going straight to the point, Jaehyun raised an eyebrow.

"How?"

"He doesn't exactly hate you, he just hates the fact you got the position that he thought he was getting" Mark explained and Jaehyun rolled her eyes, was it really something as childish as that?

"That explains the mood swings, but what am I supposed to do about that? As much as I'd love to give him the position but it's not exactly my choice is it? They're already betting on when I'm going to resign I can't give up now" Jaehyun said rubbing her temples and her headache was back.

"Exactly don't give up, show him that you got the position because you deserve it, he'll lay off you once he realise's that you were the better choice.

Although he's against you for selfish reasons he is always about the team and if he thinks that you are the better choice then he should be fine with it and stop hating you" Mark clapped like it was easy, Jaehyun rolled her eyes at this high school behaviour, they were supposed to be adults for goodness sake, now she has to prove herself ?

If they were still in school she'd be jumping hoops to prove to Lee Jeno that she was worth it but after all those years what she's realised is that she doesn't need his approval or anyone else's, but if she's going to want to gain the full trust of not only him but the whole team she's going to have to prove herself.

"Fuck you man" Jaehyun sighed, Mark smiled knowing she was being sarcastic and just butt hurt that he was right.

When Mark left he made sure to give everyone a last goodbye hug before leaving the group to deal with their family issues, Mark picked up the box on Jaehyun's desk while Jaehyun sat on top of it having finished most of her duties already, Mark smiled at her pulling her into a hug, Jaehyun smiled relishing in the feeling.

"Don't get yourself killed in America ok? I'd like to see you more often" Jaehyun smiled into Marks shoulder, Mark nodded mumbling a 'you too' and left with another shout, Jaehyun sighed watching him leave and she turned to look at her team everyone already looking at her, Jaehyun furrowed her eyebrows.

"What?" Jaehyun asked confused, Jeno and Jisung looked away, Jaemin gave the captain a smirk before turning to face his computer, Renjun and Chenle gave each other suggestive looks before shaking their heads but Haechan giggled.

"Did you and Mark ever?" Haechan asked and Jaehyun tilted her head and pulled it back shaking her head quickly, oh wow no not ever, he was like a brother to her.

"Oh no, we've never, he's like my brother" Jaehyun said sitting down into her seat and turned around wanting to face her desk and be done with the conversation.
