Slipping and struggling, Alice's hands clawed at the door, persistently pursuing her escape into the Scrubb's hallway, after? She could hopefully dismiss this whole thing as an unbelievable hallucination... or maybe she'd wake up as soon as she hits dry ground. Eventually, she thrust her head around at her surroundings, finding herself surrounded still by the four walls of her room, wooden furniture and cases of clothing, but... the children were gone.

Heart plunging into her stomach, she reluctantly released the handle of the door and began thrashing violently- a wild web of tangled limbs- to find the children she swore to herself she would take care of, she was sure they couldn't have gotten far, they were enclosed in a room. It hit her, maybe she should try the window?

Dragging herself over in that direction, she began pounding furiously against the now opaque glass – her lungs burning and eyesight blurring, she felt as though she had swallowed one of her friend's cigarettes and the fire spread to her lungs and racing heart. Squeezing her eyes shut tight, she willed a way out, and glancing up, she saw unfamiliar blinding lights... she really had gone insane.

But it was her only shot, she had to go up.

"That was thrilling!" Lucy beamed as her old friend wrapped a comforting arm around her shoulders with a pleased grin, it had been too long since Caspian had seen a familiar face he cared so much about.

"How in the world did you end up here?" he questioned with a dazzling grin, really not having a care in the world of the answer, just grateful to finally see his friends once more.

"I have no idea."

"Caspian," Edmund called out, whilst Caspian turned.

"Edmund," he pulled the boy into a hug, his exhilarating smile growing larger if possible.

"Alice? Where's Alice?!" Lucy suddenly blurted, panic lacing every syllable of her question, as she turned frantically, the two male's laughing being cut short.

"Alice?" Caspian question with furrowed eyebrows.

"Our friend," Edmund gulped, growing pale with realization, "she- she was at the door, Lucy, I thought she had followed!"

The pair grew frantic, rushing to the side of the boat to peer into the vast, dark, deep, ocean... they weren't going to spot a thing. There was nothing they could do. Gone. She was gone.

"There were only three of you," Caspian tried to assure the fretting pair, but he suddenly grew unsure himself, what if there was another child in the water, he couldn't just leave them to drown. Looking down himself, his eyes widened when he noticed a flutter of a shadow, it was barely a smudge in the dazzling ocean but he wasted not a second before diving once again into the chilling blanket of blue.

Alice had never regretted her decisions in life as much as she had now. She wasn't the strongest of swimmers, she thanked God she could swim, she'd probably be dead by now, but she kept hope as she climbed to the top, why it seemed so far, she couldn't fathom? She was still reeling on the fact that she was no longer in her bedroom.

Something slipped around her waist, resulting in her weak form jolting in shock, however, before she had any chance to wrestle her way out of the firm grip, she broke above the surface in a fit of choking and wheezing. Whilst she struggled to grasp the relief of a full breath, she recognized the grip around her was anchoring her to the surface, so her fingers fumbled to cling to the arm around her whilst she turned to face the owner.

"I've got you, you're safe now," she heard an endearing voice exclaim over the roar of the water, as she finally came face to face with a most alluring pair of brown eyes.
