"Now, my guards will fly you to the next pond, good luck" He said before leaving them

Just then some Manticore appears and the boys claimed up its back, before they started flying to another pond

They reached the pond and there they got off the Manticore's back and proceed to walk around the pond unlike other ponds this one was a lot bigger it almost looks like a seabut just smaller, near the pond they have this bug rocks just laying around sometimes water splashed on them but the rock stayed still. the boys walked and walked until something popped out of the water.

The creature's faces looks like a human, they got on top of each rock and there they boys see that the other half was a fin, and you guys probably already guessed it, It is a Mermaid, each of them has their own color their hair are long and wet they're fins flapping down in the water

(Ik the pic in the beginning shows the mermaid underwater but like that's the best pic I could fund that will also explain something in this chapter)

"Hello there" One of them spoke she has a blue crown over her head and her tail is more sparkly than the others she is knows to be the queen of the mermaids

They boys bowed down

"I see that you have passed congratulations, now I will test your powers underwater, try to defeat us and you will be given a price" The queen said

"Queen Meduna, I see no means to fight them at the end they will fail" The one with the red fin spoke

"Say no such thing Joey, they have almost killed Martin, they are capable to beat us" Meduna said shutting up Joey, whilst Joey just nodded

A mermaid came and invited Kai near the water she gave him 6 pairs of necklace that glimmered under the sun and the color blue like the sea

"What are these for? " Kai asked whilst giving the others one by one

"These necklaces will help you to breath under water and talk underwater" Joey explained

"Oh, okay, thank you" Jimin said wearing the necklace

"Now let's begin" And by that Meduna and the other mermaids went down the pond. The boys gave each other looks before jumping down the pond.

Now mermaids may seem harmful but they are nothing but killing machines if the hate a person or the person has broke their hearts they will not hesitate to kill them, they use their voice and music to lure them in and then kill them harshly by drowning them or just simple pulled their hearts out. Other than that the queen or king is more powerful, they have the tritone to easily kill humans that cross their parts it was said that mermaids are the one behind ship wrecked flood disappearing of men and many others

Knowing these facts the boys are very careful while approaching the mermaids, well all of them can be considered lucky except for Chanyeol, his power is fire, and fire can be said kind of useless when your fighting underwater so his plan is just to lure the mermaids to the surface and perhaps burn their tail, don't worry their tail can heal itself

"Guys you have to focus and don't let them lure you with their voices and their harp okay, stay on target, and this time we can't just split out it will be an advantage for them" Jungkook explain they nodded and turned around there they saw the mermaids circling them except for Meduna she was sitting on her throne, and with that they fought.

"Humans, you dumb creature think you can defeat us" The purple one spoke her name is Sharon

"You're right well let's just kill them and feed them to the whales" Joey said and by that the mermaid uses their water power to attack some uses their voice

"Remember to focus! " Jungkook yelled whilst he avoids a spiky water ball that almost hits him he uses his telekinesis to move the big Rock and slammed it toward the mermaid, she was taken aback and got slammed down

Jimin was fighting water with water, and apparently he notices that this isn't going anywhere so in the end he drew out his sword surprisingly the sword cut through and hit the mermaid Jimin smirked, he uses the sword to stab it's tail

Chanyeol he can't do anything but to drew out his sword and avoid she attack his plan was now useless he was cornered the mermaid seems to notice and said "you're the great alpha, pfft look at how you fight, you can't even get a scratch on me" By that the anger rises his eyes turned red his swung his sword which is now covered with red flames and pointed it towards the mermaid, to the mermaid's surprise the flame flew toward her and burned her

Baekhyun looked towards Chanyeol who succeed and smiled that threw him of guard and was slammed by the mermaids power he reacted fastly and blinded the mermaid before scratch her stomach and hands with that blood was seen in her body and she retreats.

Kai and Sehun was practically fighting together backs towards each other, Sehun uses his wind power to kind of control the water and send it towards the mermaid who's singing and trapped her there whilst using his sword to fight the other, Kai uses his teleportation power to teleport the mermaid and confused her and the end he teleported her right in front of his sword before stabbing her he uses this technique to some other.

In the end all of the mermaids got defeated and now are resting Meduna was shocked and stood up she uses her tritone to command all the water to attack them and she uses her tritone to flow the electricity inside the water which electrocuted them, but they didn't gave up Jimin using his water power tries his best to change the flow of the water he was help by Jungkook and Sehun, Kai succeeded to teleport himself behind Meduna he smirked before grabbing her tritone away and with that he won.

After some time of recovery they were taken to the surface and was told "good job everyone, here these are our scales and some of our vocals use this ONLY when you need them"

"Thank you" Chanyeol said taking the bags

"Follow the water path and you will be taken to the next course, we hope to see you again" Meduna said before diving down

What else will they encounter?
Can they actually die in the process?
