The sky was a dark blue when you arrived home. You had gone out shopping to get some food your father had forgotten to get, as always.
You closed the door with difficulty thanks to the two bags in your arms. You placed them down next to the shoestand, closed the door and took your own shoes off.
Carrying the plastic bags into the kitchen, you hoped your father was home and you could watch a movie or something with him.
But of course, there was no sound except your own breathing and footsteps.
You clenched your fists, throwing the bags onto the floor with a scream.
God, he couldn't even bother checking on you...
He didn't care...
He didn't care about you!
HE DIDN'T FUCKING CARE!
Your back pressed against the wall, sliding down until you were sitting on the floor, tears running down your cheeks and sobs escaping your lips.
Your throat was closing up, your eyes were burning and your hands were starting to get sore from how hard you were gripping the floor.
You needed to calm down...
You took a deep breath and started to count to 10, focusing on your breathing and blocking off the sounds from outside.
Once you were calm-ish, you got up from the floor and started to collect all of the discarded food items off the floor.
You picked up a frozen lasagna and stuck it in the microwave, grabbing your phone from your pocket and scrolling through your social media.
You got the lasagna out once it was ready and threw yourself on the couch, turning on the TV and watching some crappy show.
You were about to eat the last bit of your dinner when you remembered the mail. You had seen it next to the welcome mat and had made a mental note to go pick it up later.
You finished the last bite and sprinted to the front door, opening it quickly and grabbing the few letters that were lying there.
You went through them, the ones directed to your father were thrown on the floor once again. You finally found a letter that was addressed to you, and it had UA's name on it.
Holy shit! Did I actually get in!?
Your mood was lifted as you ran into your room and jumped on the soft bed and ripped the envelope open.
A small gadget fell onto the covers, next to a letter.
You picked the round disc thing and examined it in your hands.
Was it supposed to do someth-
A hologram appeared, making you jump.
"I AM HERE AS A HOLOGRAM!"
You frowned. Was that All Might?
Of course it was.
He explained to you that you had passed the writing exam with 70 points, and you had passed the practical exam in second place with 69 points (you let out a soft 'noice'), which meant that you had been accepted into UA.
You let out an embarrassing squeal and threw the projector across the room, ignoring anything else All Might had to say.
You got in!
You lied down on your comforter and closed your eyes, trying to calm your beating heart.
God, when was the last time you had felt this proud with yourself?
You let out a chuckle before letting sleep consume you.
Remember, UA was only to get your father to notice you.
You shouldn't bother making friends. They'll only slow you down.
