Coos adverted Mary's attention from the parchment she was to write to the crib in the corner of the room. Francis and Mary smiled at the baby that sat in a crib that had been sitting in the bedroom. Mary stood and walked to the crib and picked the baby up. James Henry Valois-Anguleme cooed at his mother, reaching up and grabbing the long dark braid that was in her hair. She smiled and kissed his fingers.

"Hello Sweet boy." Mary whispered. Francis smiled and walked to his wife and son, touching Mary's shoulder. James squealed at his father and Francis laughed and brushed his blonde curls so similar to his own back from the baby's face.

"Tu es tellement adorable. Tu m'attrapes tous les jours, moi et ta maman."  Francis told the baby. Mary smiled as James giggled at his father. "Is tu solas mo bheatha." Mary told James. Francis gasped. "The light of your life? What am I then?" Francis asked.

Mary laughed and kissed Francis gently. "My husband. A part of my life. Along with our child."

Short but sweet.
