The Night of the Fight
"H-holy shit" Eren stuttered out.
"Calm down, Eren" Levi said. "Just remember everything I showed you."
Eren nodded.
"What about the J-"
"No. That'll wait until.. him" Levi said.
Eren nodded.
Levi gave him a pat on the back.
"Go get him."
Eren stood up, saying a small prayer, before stepping through the swinging doors.
It was a decently sized arena, most of the town was there to see the fight.
Everyone in the town knew Jean, as he came from a well known, high end family.
Eren heard cheers erupt from the crowd, as he saw Jean step into the dusty ring, after his name was called.
Eren heard his name called, followed by a few scattered cheering.
He could make out one of the people immediately.
"You got this Eren!" He heard a certain, brown haired girl yell.
"Sasha..?" Eren asked himself.
He walked out, into view of the crowd, and he scanned the people sitting in the chairs.
He took notice to his small group of friends.
Sasha, Connie, Armin, Historia, and of course, Mikasa.
Eren smiled.
He noticed something, in the back row, furthest corner.
"She is here.." Eren mumbled.
Eren climbed into the ring, shifting his eyes from her, and locked eyes with Jean, who had a cocky smile on his face.
"Ready to get your ass kicked in front of the entire town this time?"
Eren shrugged, "Sure"
Jean's smile faltered slightly. He didn't expect Eren to brush that off so easily. Last time they went at it, he lost his mind at the littlest things.
Jean looked to Mikasa, and winked at her.
Eren followed his eyes, and caught Mikasa rolling her eyes.
"She isn't interested Jean. I'd drop it."
"Oh, she'll become interested real soon.. just as soon as this match is over" Jean said.
"Enough talking!" The announcer yelled.
He began the introduction.
"Welcome, everyone, to tonight's fight. For tonight's riveting match, we'll have two of our very own in this ring together. Whoever wins this match, has a chance to enter into a professional mixed martial arts career. We have someone who is somewhat new to the fighting scene, with his fifth ameture fight, Jean Kirstien!"
