September has come and gone and so in fact has October, within those months there has been a mixture of fun and hard work. Countless Alpha female lessons and also a large number of dates, some fun some more serious. There have been meals out and cinema trips with Liam, some time spent with my friends and even some with his. Liam and I, however, much to Alpha Miller’s distaste, are still not mates. I didn’t think that putting it off was going to be such a big deal, especially since they don’t really need us to be official until the New Year, however, I have noticed that even Penny is a little tense about the situation, no matter how I explain it she doesn’t see the need in prolonging the inevitable.
Even so I am going to take my time with the period they have given me, which means I have two more months before bonding is necessary and I’m using it to really get to know Liam, his family and the role that I will have in it. In December Alpha Miller will be holding the pack meet and greet, a party revolved around me that is already being planned, mixed in with our usual Christmas celebration and between that party and the New Year’s party for the other Alphas, Liam and myself need to be mated; no pressure.
However, as Mandy and I stand in my wardrobe area staring at our reflections, each holding a glass of straight Devils vodka, I put those thoughts to one side, tonight is a completely different holiday tonight is Halloween.
“We look awesome.” She slurs with a giggle.
“We look practically naked.” I state.
“Don’t be silly. It’s a dress and long socks, you’re practically dressed as a nun. This is Halloween! It’s meant to be like this. Besides you love Beauty and the Beast.”
“I do, it’s my favourite but I don’t remember Belle ever wearing something this… short.” I adjust the yellow corset on my dress and can’t help but feel self-conscious. The only quality this dress shares with Belle’s ball gown is the colour yellow. When Mandy had said that we girls were doing a Disney theme I definitely did not expect the short skirt, the outrageously low neckline, or the long white stockings. At least my dark brown waves have been styled to look just like Belle’s; I had to stay true somehow. But I can take solace in the fact that no matter how slutty I look Mandy is worse. She is Princess Aurora or at least the stripper equivalent, in an off the shoulder pink, skin tight, dress to which the bottom is actually a tutu, she is even wearing a crown (well what Princess doesn’t have one?), at least she also has the ridiculous stockings, hers just have pink trimming not yellow. “Did you choose outfits for all of us?” I ask warily.
“Yep.” She says with a grin, I feel slightly better knowing that there will be a group of us dressed like this and that the others have been dragged down with me. “They picked their own Princess though. I just made sure that we got these two.” Our respective favourites. I take a large gulp of my drink and splutter a little at the nasty taste.
“I’m going to need more of this to go out like this.” I point out.
“Let’s go join the guys then.” She says with a grin and I groan. Liam and I are hosting pre-drinks for a few people before we head off to Hunter’s club for a shifter only Halloween celebration. The pre-party includes, Liam, Harry, Hunter, Gray, Will and all of Liam’s friends from game night. Considering that this is my first glass I am nowhere near drunk enough to face them, however, they have the alcohol so it will have to be done. “Don’t forget your heels.” Mandy chimes on her way to the door. Ah yes the gold stilts, great. “This room is amazing she breathes as she crosses the floor, the girls will be so excited to see this.” I smile, it is an amazing room and yet I spend very little time in here, more often than not I sleep in Liam’s bed. But tonight will be a girl’s night, they all plan on getting drunk tonight and none of them wish to return home in such a state, so they are all staying here.
