You know, nothing beats a end of summer party. Like, think about it, you, your friends, around a nice campfire reminiscing about how great of a summer it was! Can you sense the sarcasm in my voice? My summer has been awful. Like let me break down the fantastic summer of Mona Rollins to you. First off, I finally make a boyfriend, only for him to cheat on me ONE WEEK after we start dating. I'm left out of events with my best friends because Emily is the biggest bitch ever! Oh, if Adam found out what I know about her she would be banished from our group FOREVER. But, I'm not going to be that petty. So, guess what I'm doing?
Getting ready for this bitch's end of summer party.
"Bye, M! Text me when you are done!" My mom says as she drops me and my best friend Grace Landers at Emily and Malorie's house. Malorie and Emily come out and greet me. "Hey girlie!" Emily says as she hugs me tightly. "Hey, Mona we've missed you." Mal says. "Um, who else is coming?" I ask as we walk up her stairs and into her house. "Well, Adam and Ally are already here, and Simon and Cameron are supposed to be coming." Emily says. "Oh fun." I say sarcastically but only Mal catches on and she shoots me a look signaling she is thinking the same thing.
"Mona!" Adam screamed as he jumped out of his seat and pounced on me, squeezing the life out of me. "Adam! You are not aloud to leave me for that long EVER again!" I say. "Agreed." He says. We haven't seen each other since late July! That is the longest Adam and I have ever not seen each other. But, what sucks in this is when Simon comes I will be kicked to the curb, Adam is head over heels in love with him and tends to push us out. He doesn't mean to, but it happens. This is partly my fault for him being in love with him because I pushed Adam to ask him out.
"Guys, Simon just called me, him and Cameron can't make it." Emily says when she enters the room. Oh darn, they aren't coming! That is sarcasm in my voice in case you couldn't tell. "Why?" Adam asks clearly upset. "Their dad is working late and he wants to have dinner with them when he gets home." Emily answers. Then for a total of 20 MINUTES Emily and Adam are on the phone with Simon trying to figure out how the fuck to get their asses here. Let's just say it end's in Emily bawling her eyes out for a whole hour.
I seriously do not understand how Adam doesn't see that Emily also has feelings for Simon, but oh, when he finds out, he is going to be PISSED. "Well, Emily is upset right now so, I think it is just going to be us for the rest of the night." Mal says as she enters the room. "Yeah, I have to get going M." Grace says to me as her dad is sitting out front.
"Hey, now that it just the lot of us, how about we discuss how Year Two of the R.A.T.S. is going to go." Ally says. "Yeah, Adam, what are your plans?" I ask. "Well, as official president of the R.A.T.S.," Adam starts. "No official." Mal says. "Whatever. Clearly we need to get more gossip out there, and now we will have a full year to do so." Adam continues. "True." Ally says. "I also think we should try to get the club made official." Adam says. "How? Mr. Peterson will never go for that!" Mal says. "Then, I guess I will have to find a way to make him." Adam says with a evil grin on his face. Ooh this year is going to be interesting!
