Chapter Nine

     Tomorrow I am going to have to walk back into that high school and deal with everyone I hate. Furthermore, I have to go on keeping the biggest secret from Adam because Emily can't grow a pair and tell him she has feelings for Simon. But, oh well, that's just another day in the life of Malorie Kara. Anyway, it was time to get ready for the first day of sophomore year tomorrow, so I sat in my room and put on Cinderella and went to sleep.

     You know, we all have weird dreams sometimes, but what the fuck. I woke up in what I thought was the next day. I got dressed and headed downstairs and saw Emily, Simon, and Cameron eating breakfast in my kitchen. "Emily, what are they doing here." I asked. "Who's Emily? It's ma'am to you and those are your stepbrothers you uneducated fool." Emily answered. "Haha, this is funny. What is this? A first day of school prank?" I asked. "A prank, most certainly not. Now get dressed and do your chores and get ready for school. Maids don't get to eat breakfast." Emily said. "Okay?" I questioned.

     Then, I headed upstairs to get dressed. I grabbed my phone to call Adam and tell me they were pulling a prank on me put I saw I didn't have a phone. Which was weird because I saw Emily and the twins with their phones. But then to little mice cam out of a little door in my wall, they were actual mice, but looked like Mona and Ally. "Malerella, we are so sorry that wicked stepmother is so evil, but we stole you some breakfast." The mouse that looked like Mona said. "Oh my god, I'm in Cinderella!" I screamed.

     "This is a dream, I have to wake up" I screamed. "Not a dream Malerella, but you may want to get ready or school, the bus leaves soon." The mouse that looked like Ally said. "Thank you for the breakfast." I said to the little mice.

     That day at school was so weird turns out my "stepbrothers" attend the nicer school next to mine. I felt like an outsider all day. but then, at the end of the day the teachers said we had to wait because the King and Queen had an announcement. I had gotten to the point that I was like "whatever, I'll play along". "Hello students, King and Queen McCharming here and we are happy to announce tonight there will be a ball for our son Prince McCharming to choose his bride or groom. Males and females obviously are allowed." the King said. I guess the prince here is bisexual? But, then I got the shock of my life when Axel appeared on the camera. Oh my god he is the prince. I will definitely play along now.

     Then, I got out of school and headed back home. "I'm home, I'm going to do homework and get ready for the ball." I yelled. "You, go to the ball? Ha." Simon said. "Last time I checked rags weren't for balls." Cameron sneered. "Oh be nice boys. I'll tell you what Malerella, if you can get your chores done and find something nice to wear, we will let you go to the ball." Emily said. "Deal." I replied. Then I got to work cleaning the house, doing the dishes, etc. When I was finally done, I saw it was 7. The ball was set to begin at 8.

     I rushed upstairs and the mice were already there, they had a dress made up for me that was beautiful. "Oh my god, I don't know how to thank you." I said. "No need to Malerella, it was our pleasure." The mouse that looked like Mona said. I got dressed and headed downstairs only to be meted by Emily and the twins. "What's wrong, aren't you guys ready?" I asked. "We are, but you aren't coming with us." Simon said. "Huh? I did everything that was asked of me." I said. "Sorry, I lied." Emily said. "What, you bitch." I said. "Have at her boys." She then said. Simon and Cameron proceeded to tear at my dress, spray it with spray paint, poor buckets of soap water one me, and then Simon grabbed a hose a proceeded to spray me until I was begging for him to stop. They then left me and went to the ball.

     I ran to the backyard in tears and fell on my knees in front of a bench. But slowly I felt a pair of knees begin to form under my arms. "Adam?" I said when I looked up to see him in a dress with a long blond wig on. "Bitch, the fuck, are you blind? I'm not Adam. I am your Fairy Gaymother!" He said. "Of course." I said as I wiped my tears. "Girl you look like you have been ran over by a bus who proceeded to turn around and run over you multiple times and spit on you, let's change that." He said as he waved a wand and I was then in a beautiful blue dress. "Now, come on, you have a price to woo." Adam said as he waved his wand and my two mice became horses and a pumpkin became my carriage. "You must be back by the stroke of midnight, that is when the magic will wear off." He said as I went off to the ball.

     When I got there I got out and headed up the stairs to the castle. When I got in their were lines of women and men waiting to have their chance to dance with the prince. So I walked in and got in line. I saw he was dancing with Cameron but he looked so bored. Soon, the dance was over and he was looking his next suitor. He whispered to someone and soon a spotlight was on me. "You ma'am, the prince requests a dance." The spokesperson said. I headed to the dance floor and met him. "Good evening madam." He said. "Good evening." I replied. We then danced and danced for hours.

     Eventually we walked out to a beautiful balcony and him and I spoke for even longer. But soon, I heard the clock strike midnight. "Oh, no." I said as I began to run. "Wait!" Prince McCharming said as he ran after me. I ran out of the castle and down the stairs, where I made sure to loose a slipper. and ran into my carriage. It then rushed off back to my home. But on the way there the pumpkin rotted and the magic wore off and me and my mice walked the rest of the way home.

     The next day I got up and there was a newscast that the prince was looking for who the slipper belonged to. While my stepmother and brothers were watching it, I took an extra set of keys to the bathroom. If this was going to go anything like the movie, I already know what is going to happen. Then, there was a knock at the door and my stepmother got up. "Malerella come with me." She said. She lead me upstairs, put me in the bathroom, and locked the door. I waited a little bit before I unlocked the door and walked downstairs. But, when I did, I saw that Simon was in the corner crying and Cameron was throwing a fit about not being able to wear the slipper. "May I try it on." I said as I entered the living room. "Malerella, go back to your room." Emily said. "No, let her." Prince McCharming said. Then right as he slipped the slipper on, I woke up
