Josie

I look at myself in the mirror as I brushed my long brunette hair. I decided to curl it a little to look presentable than the dead girl in the coffin they remembered. Sighing, i adjusted my jacket then grabbed my books and bag. Lizzie already went ahead for she still needs to prepare a presentation for her report in history. As I walked through the hallways I can't help but feel a bit anxious, maybe because I'm not used to people looking at my direction, smiling and acknowledging my presence. That's Lizzie's game not mine.. I'm more comfortable behind the spotlight. The day went on till lunch finally came. Everyone filed at the cafeteria while I on the other hand decided to go to the kitchen and grabbed one bag of blood push the straw on it and then sat on the counter dangling my legs. The silence was comforting till i heard two persons arguing. I did not see them around but I'm sure their close for I could hear them clearly. "Jade please talk to me.." i gasp hearing the girl's name dominating my mind. "I don't want to hear it." Jade said coldly. I should shut this out, its not right to listen to their personal issues but my ears are itching to know their deal.

"I'm sorry alright? I was drunk and a bit jealous seeing you eyeing that new girl-"

"Don't you ever bring Josie to this argument, she's not part of this! This is between me and you and how you hurt my bestfriend!" Jade said with anger laced in her voice.

"Like i said I was drunk.. I didn't mean to do it.. i was blinded by the alcohol-" Jade snickered like not believing the other girl's excuse."what do you want me to do.. huh? Just tell me and I'll do it baby.. I can't lose you .. I just can't.." she pleaded desperately. I heard the girl sniffed, like almost in tears when she said those words. Then i heard a sigh.

"I need some space Cynthia.. i just need time to think this through.. " Jade said. Then I heard steps getting closer. I immediately put on my earphones while casually scanning on my phone and sipping on my bag of blood. Suddenly a hand covered the screen of my phone making me look up to the owner of the hand. Bluish grey eyes meets mine. She looked more stunning in her uniform. The girl could pull off any clothing, dress her with a trash bag and she will still come out like a runaway model. She signaled me to take my earphones off and i complied.

"What are you doing here alone Joz?" As she smiled then moved towards the freezer, grabbed herself a bag of blood and plunged down the straw before she leaned on the table facing me. There's that stare again.

"The noise again.." finally answered her question.

"Ah.. right.. so where are your friends? Are they not looking for you?"

"I have not seen them since this morning and Lizzie is a bit busy with school so .. that's why I'm here alone.."

"Hmm.."

I divert my focus to my phone just to get busy with something other than having a staring competition with her.

"Quick question.." she said suddenly. I turned my attention to her and can't helped but smiled as I remember our first meeting.

"That seems to be your favorite sentence before starting a conversation" I saw recognition in her eyes with my comment which gained me a smile.

"I was really a bitch to you before wasn't I?"

"What do you mean bitch? Bitch is an understatement .. you are worst!" I said teasingly. She made a face like she was disgusted by her old self.

"For the record I wasn't proud of what i was before."

"Don't worry the whole campus didn't know the old you. So you're safe" i winked at her playfully before moving down and throwing the empty bag.

"I still didn't asked you that question"
